Mrs. Ifeanyinwa is a representative of the Market Women Association, and was coming back from lunch break, walking towards the plenary chamber when she collapsed.

She was immediately taken into one of the ante rooms outside the Conference plenary chamber by the security agents, including the operatives from the SSS, the National Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, later, she was brought back to the lobby, and a doctor was invited to attend to her.

Some delegates turn pastors and reverens laid hands on her for prayers before the arrival of the doctor.

A journalist who witnessed the incident was asked to leave by the SSS as soon as the doctor arrived the scene.

According to the information gathered, Mrs. Ifeanyinwa was at the early hour, very vibrant and involved in the debate that arose from President Goodluck Jonathan’s address at the Conference.

The secretariat of the Conference was not aware of the delegate’s health challenge and this also applied to many of the delegates, who had already gone inside the chamber for the evening sitting.

On the 28 of March, retired police AIG Hamma Misau, one of the delegates died after his sleeping picture went viral on the social media.

Nigerians had earlier lambasted the Presidency over the selection of delegates. They complained that the average age in the National Conference was 63 years, and worried over the outcome of the Conference since the same people ruling the country for the past decades are those selected despite agitation for youth representatives.
