The Ogun State police command have recovered the head of a two year old boy who was murdered on April 12 in Mowe Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.
The murderer, Bashir Ibrahim alleged ran away with the head of the boy after murdering him and raping his mother.
He was captured by the police on April 16.
Ogun State police spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejob said that Ibrahim confessed to the crime but refused to say what he needed the head of the boy for.
He added that Ibrahim took the police to the bush in Mokola, Ibadan on Monady, Oyo State Capital where he wrapped the head of the boy in a bag.
Similarly, the Adatan Police Division has captured four suspects for allegely killing a suspected 35-year-old mentally ill-man, Kazeem Akindele.
Akindele was murdered by a group of mobs while atempting to kdinap a 19-yaer-old woman at Onilola Street, Abeokuta
Police said Fausat Ogunbiyi, Mariam Yahaya, Blessing Joseph and Nurudeen Adebayo were among those who took part in the jungle justice and will be charged to court soon. He warned Nigerians to avoid jungle justice.
