Cattle Breeders Association hail Federal Government in Kano

The Cattle breeders national body called “the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has expressed gratitude to Federal Government for setting up a committee to end the crisis between herdsmen and farmers in Nigeria.


Federal Government Republic of NigeriaThis was contained in a statement signed by its National Secretary General, Alhaji Baba Othuman Ngelzarma, saying the group would assist the creation of grazing reserves and cattle routes across the nation.


According to the statement, the government should work closely with the body (MACBAN) and its leadership in order to bring an end to the matters on the welfare of its members.


The group promised security agencies that its members are ready to work with the constituted authorities to bring security issues to an end, particularly that of the farmers and the herdsmen.


MACBAN added that the security agencies should be professional in handling security matters.


The statement alluded to the inaugurating of the group’s new national executives, where the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, urged them to eschew rivalry and tackle the challenges affecting their members.


MACBAN’s newly inaugurated National President Ardo Muhammadu Kirowa assured the Sultan of the members’ readiness to justify the confidence reposed in them.
