The invited governors, Para-military organisations, and ministers president at the security meetings called by the President, Goodluck Jonathan have unanimously condemned the accusation by the governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako against the President that he is using the military to carry out genocide in the north.
The Minister of Defence, Gen. Aliyu Gusau who addressed the House Correspondent after the meeting said that the meeting advised all holders of Public offices to be wary of statements tense up the already tense country concerning security.
The Governor of Niger state, Babangida Aliyu who spoke with correspondents after the meeting highlights some of the decisions reached at the meeting.
He said “I am sure many of you will be curious about the memo written by one of us. We looked at it all. Infact he was allowed to read the memo to all of us and we discussed and concluded that for all of us, we need to be very careful with the kind of statement we make”.
