This is coming just few weeks after President Goodluck Jonathan visited the state to receive returning members of PDP and more recently the defection of over 1000 APC members from Oru East, Orlu led by former House of Representatives member, Chief Cajethan Dike, back to PDP.

Prominent among the defecting members is the leader of APC in the state, Chief John Agbasi, who defected with former Governor Achike Udenwa from PDP in 2010.

Others also present at the occasion were member representing Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba federal constituency, Sir Chudi Onyereri; member representing Njaba state constituency, Hon. Kevin Chino Obioha; the state executive council of the PDP and others.

Speaking at the event held at the National Primary School Umunam Atta playground, Ihedioha, who was represented by his political adviser, Emma Dike, commended Agbasi for taking the bold step to return back to the house he contributed heavily to build.

He expressed joy over the number of people that returned with Abgasi to PDP, assuring them of President Jonathan’s support.

The deputy speaker urged the people not to allow any other party to infiltrate the area. According to him, PDP was coming to reposition the state in 2015.

In his speech, the state PDP chairman, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, while welcoming Agbasi and his people back to the party, told them that the party has learnt from its mistake, assuring that it would not repeat them again.
