President Jonathan has expressed sadness over the loss of lives in Nyanya motor park in Abuja and ordered a tightened security.
The President directed the medical services to do their very best to save the lives of those injured in the bombing, and extended his heartfelt condolences to bereaved families.

There was a loud blast at a bus station packed with commuters heading to the capital Abuja on Monday and many people feared dead and injured.
According to the rescue agency, “This morning there was an explosion at the Nyanya Motor Park,” Manzo Ezekiel of the National Emergency Management Agency said. “Rescue teams are already on ground. There were so many people there at that time, so we think there must have been some injuries,” he added. The cause of the blast was not yet known.
