APC candidate blames PDP for billboards destruction

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress seeking to represent Obokun Constituency at the Osun State House of Assembly, Mr. Olatubosun Oyintiloye, has blamed the alleged destruction of his campaign billboards on those he called the agents of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Oyintiloye, who said this in a statement issued on Friday blamed the Osun East senatorial candidate of the PDP, Mr. Francis Fadahunsi, for the destruction.

He said, ” Thugs loyal to the PDP Senatorial Candidate in Osun East , Mr. Francis Fadahunsi, came to Ibokun Friday night and destroyed the billboard stationed along Ibokun axis of Ibokun-Osogbo road.

“An eye witness said the gangsters, led by one of the leading thugs of the gang, identified as Blessing, came in two cars with colour red and blue respectively to destroy the billboard.

“The destroyed billboard had Oyintiloye’s picture and the pictures of the APC Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates, Muhammadu Buhari, Babajide Omoworare and Nathaniel Agunbiade.”

Oyintiloye advised the PDP and its candidates to conduct their campaign in obedience to the peace accord signed in Abuja by political leaders.

However, Fadahunsi while reacting to the allegation through the spokesman of his campaign organisation, Mr. Sola Olowoye, debunked the allegations while describing Oyintiloye as a serial lair.

The PDP candidate’s spokesman said that Oyintiloye was an inconsequential candidate whose participation in the election was of no effect to Fadahunsi’s aspiration.
