Afenifere Spokesman: We’re Vindicated by Accreditation Hitches

The National Publicity Secretary of pan-Yoruba sociopolitical group, Afenifere, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, yesterday noted that the civil society groups that had cautioned against the application of the Card Readers for the elections had been vindicated considering the hitches in the accreditation process yesterday.

Odumakin, who described the election as “sham” castigated INEC’s decision to use the card reader for the elections. He made the remark during his accreditation at Unit 020, Grammar School, in Ojodu LCDA.

“If Jega says he wants to continue the election tomorrow, is it not running the country into crisis. The ball is now in the court of the credible media organisations to let the people know what is happening.

“Where I voted, somebody gave the INEC officials stamp pad and ink. Jega wants to run this country into crisis. Now, it is time he tells us what happened to him after the 2011 election, when he went to Saudi Arabia and they sent him back. He should tell the country now what happened then.”
