It has been reported that President Goodluck Jonathan has called his major challenger and the likely-winner of the 2015 presidential election, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC to congratulate him.
According to a source, the president spoke with Muhammadu Buhari on the phone and will address the country after rounding off his meeting with his cabinet.
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, also congratulated Gen. Muhammadu Buhari for emerging victorious at the presidential election.
Okorocha reacted in a terse statement through his media aide, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, commended Ndigbo for subscribing to the mantra of change.
While describing Buhari’s victory as divine, Okorocha also commended Nigerians for subscribing to change for better.
“By virtue of Buhari’s victory, Ndigbo and IMO people in particular, can now appreciate he wisdom behind his decision to be part of the merger
ThA saw the emergence of All Progressives Congress, APC”, Okorocha said.
The governor was of the view that it would have been disastrous if in the new order, the Igbos were nowhere to be found.
