Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has raised an alarm over an alleged plan by the wife of the President, Patience Jonathan to assassinate him concerning his earlier opposition to Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election

Mbaka had earlier criticized President Jonathan as a weak President, advised that he stepped down and go out the way he came in. referring to the President, he told his congregation that Good luck had turned to bad luck for Nigerians.

Among the things the father mentioned against the incumbent were joblessness, insecurity, power and above all, corruption.

Addressing his congregation in Enugu over the weekend, Mbaka said Jonathan and his wife were not going to kill him themselves but send jobless Nigerians he is defending.

The Rev. Father denied taking money from any politicians. It could be recalled that during his earlier attack on the President, Mbaka had endorsed General Muhammadu Buhari, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress.

The Rev. Father said “Do they think that killing Rev. Mbaka will make Jonathan and his wife win the election? Is Mbaka their problem? And the other Priest asked the question that touched me, all these while Father Mbaka has been supporting Jonathan and his wife, did Buhari and his party make any statement or threaten him over six years?

After all, I sent the letter about this to somewhere, but I want to send this message to the atmosphere, let it now be known to the whole world that President Jonathan and Patience are planning to assassinate Father. Mbaka. It is a known secret, so however they are planning it, I don’t know, whoever they want to use, I don’t know. They will not come themselves to do it, they will use these unemployed people, the same people I am speaking for. I don’t know why people are no longer afraid of God, and the other priest said maybe because other priest in the country joining them to threaten Father Mbaka to threaten father Mbaka unto sanction because he speaks the ill of the government, after all why should Jonathan’s name be mentioned.”

Father Mbaka likened himself to Moses in the bible. He said “ I am just trying to warn any Pharaoh that is trying to kill Moses, remember what happened in the Exodus chapter 12, after the Passover, the family of Pharaoh cried and the remnant of the tears got a conclusion in Exodus 14-78 in the middle of the red sea. Let them leave father Mbaka alone.”

Father Mbaka admitted that money was sent to him from the President’s wife through the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, which he publicly said he rejected.

He said “The so called money they are boasting that they gave to Father Mbaka, I have said it severally on this alter, put my hand. It is true if it is true because Ekweremadu came with one little bag or pulse, containing some money he said Mrs. President gave to you and the money was rejected, and it is in Ekweremadu’s house. I am not holding one kobo of Patience Goodluck’s money. As the heaven lives, if she tries any nonsense, the battle will be between him and God himself.

“They should come to their senses that everybody cannot be bought with money, but the glory of God. God has been taken care of me, it is not this time around that I will begin to yield to the weep and caprices of political hurt and vultures, no.

“Let them know that the news is everywhere, it is now a public information that President Goodluck and Patience have sent assassins. It is the information I have got, information rule the world. Have I gotten the opportunity, I should have met that man (the man who gave him the threat information), I am monitoring, I have sent people to look for him.”
