President Goodluck Jonathan has reiterated his seriousness to fight the dreaded islamic sect, Boko Haram in the North East of Nigeria.
He disclosed this while answering questions on Al Jazeera on Monday.
Speaking on the insecurity in the country, Jonathan said “From the beginning we have bene saying we lack certain weapons to confront Boko Haram because of the nature of terror attack and the environment and we have been tyring to get this weapons. AT least we have received 75% of this and i believe we are reasonably equip now to fight Boko Haram.
Clearing the air on why there is a sudden step up on the fight against the sect, the President said “it’s out of ignorance, in a political environment, people say anything. They must find a reason, they must find something to tell the people.
President Jonathan said he is confident he will win the election if it is free and fair.
He said “I will not loose the election and i believe the election will be conducted as set down by INEC, that is 28 of this March because i am quite impressed with the successes going on in the North.”
