David Mark to lead 21 senators to Jonathan over abducted girls today

Senate President, David Mark is to lead 21 other senators to President Jonathan this evening to discuss further on how to push for full scale military action in the North in order to find lasting end to the insurgency, and also release the abducted girls.

The delegations is to include all senators from the troubled state of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe.


The senators are expected to convey Tuesday’s resolution of the Senate calling for declaration of full scale war against insurgents in the North East to the president.


According to Mark, the meeting is to find a lasting solution to rescuing the abducted girls and terrorism in the country.


He confirmed this in his announce.


He asked all invited senators to meet at his house from where, they would proceed to the Presidential Villa for a meeting which will hold at 10. pm.


During last Tuesday’s plenary, David Mark had passed a resolution asking the President to channel all military power and might to the terrorists zone.


He said that he regretted ever asking for dialogue with the insurgents, saying that Nigeria is at war and will be treated as such.


The Senate urged President Jonathan to ask ECOWAS and UNITED NATION for technological measures in order to rescue the abducted girls safely
