Boko Haram kidnap, two top class Emirs in Borno

Just as Nigerians government is doing everything possible to bring insurgency to an end in the Northern part of Nigeria, the dreaded Islamist sect has struck again, abducting two top class Emirs.


Human Right Watch Accused Boko HaramThe two Emirs abducted are Emirs of Gwoza, Idrissa Timta and his Uba counterpart  Ismaila Mamza on Friday.


The two Emirs were kidnapped at about 10.am on their way to the Gombe to attend the funeral of the Emir of Gombe, Shehu Abubakar, who died at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London on Tuesday evening.


The Emirs of Gwoza; Idrissa Timta and his Uba counterpart were kidnapped on Friday morning along Tasha Alade in Biu local government area on their way to Gombe to attend the burial of late Emir of Gombe.


Though the Secretary to the state government confirmed the incident, but has not released any official statement.


The two Emirs were elevated to First Class traditional rulers status in January.
