Jigawa State of the Nigeria security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) have arrested one Bashir Ali (27yrs) of Kofar Sarki, Kafin Gang in BirninKudu Local government area of Jigawa state after five years of duping a yam seller N116,000.00
According to investigation, the suspect collected the Yam tubers worth N116,000 under the pretense to sell and return the money but disappeared for five years.
The yam seller, Rufa’I Adamu of Makarahuta village in Kachako local government area in Kano state told the NSCDC during interrogation he later got hint that the suspect was hiding in Chad republic.
According to Malam Adamu he had made several efforts and even gone to his village in Jigawa state to look for him, and could not locate him. His people said that he has disappeared for over 5years.
However, Malam Ali admitted committing the offense during interrogation, saying it was the work of satan
