Breaking: President Jonathan arrives Yola

    The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has taken his campaign to Adamawa State.

    The President arrives Yola at about 4:00 pm on Thursday on his Presidential Jet with additional planes and an helicopter.


    According to the information gathered by NAIJA CENTER NEWS, the security situation is tightened due to the President presence in the state.


    A soldier who craved anonymity said soldiers are patrolling down for security reasons.


    Boko Haram situation in the state:


    Nigerian military has succeeded in recapturing the local government areas that were previously captured by the Boko Haram insurgents in Adamawa State except Gulak.


    The military has launched a massive attack on the insurgents reclaiming every parts including Muchika which was recaptured on Wednesaday (yesterday).


    The source said ” Soldiers have been deployed to bushes in different local government to haunt for the rebels, we have been able to recapture all local governments that were previously in the hands of Boko Haram.


    “Soldiers fought Boko Haram on Tuesday to Wednesday and reclaimed Muchika, a town between Maiduguri and Yola, and very soon, Gulak, which is the last territory in the hands of the rebels will be reclaimed so that we can go back to our units.”


    The soldiers also said the military lost four of its men to the battle,one in the military hospital in Yola receiving treatment,  and tens of Boko Haram died while many fled leaving their weapons behind.


    The source also said that there is the possibility that before February 14 Presidential election, soldiers will reclaim all areas in Adamawa.
