Fulani herdsmen raped, killed a woman in Edo State

The agents of death known as the herdsmen who commit havoc as they moved from place to place with their cattle has struck in Edo State.

Three herdsmen who allegedly raped and killed a middle-age woman has been arrested by the Edo State Police Command, official says.

The victim with her 18 years old son was attacked on their way from the farm at Odighi village in Ovia North East Local Government.

The identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained as at press time. Meanwhile, the son was said to have escaped leaving his mother behind.

The policemen attached to Ekiadolor Division police headquarters recovered the body of the woman after a complaint was lodged by the villagers.

Edo State Public Relations Officer, DSP, Noble Uwo who confirmed the incident said that three herdsmen have been arrested. He disclosed their names as Mohammed, Isah and Yusuf.

“The woman along with 18-year son were accosted while returning from farm. His son managed to escape while the woman was raped to death by the suspects’’, he said.
