Abuja gives you script to act - Nyako tells Adamawa PDP

ABUJA—Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State, yesterday, accused members of the state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of acting the script prepared by Abuja for them against him and his deputy, James Ngilari

The governor and his deputy are facing impeachment threat from the House of Assembly, a decision which had been halted by the court, but received overwhelming backing by PDP stakeholders, who ended their meeting in Yola on Sunday.

The stakeholders apparently incurred Nyako’s wrath for declaring their support for the House to impeach him and his deputy.

Nyako, yesterday, described the PDP stakeholders as selfish and carried away by their lust to grab power at all cost.

The governor, who spoke through his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Sajoh, noted that the resolution reached by the PDP stakeholders was an indication that they were propelled by ulterior motives.

The governor said the plot to unseat him and his deputy was tele-guided by some unseen hands in Abuja, who did not wish the state well.

Nyako noted that with the decision of the stakeholders it was clear that PDP had displayed its usual penchant for forsaking its own.
