Nigeria’s first lady, the wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan advised Nigerians to throw their support behind the federal government in order to address the problem of insecurity in country, adding that terrorism can defeat anyone including husband (referring to Mr. President) if he fights alone, but collectively, terrorism will fail.
Patience Jonathan made the call during the birthday celebration of the National Coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Mr. Gani Adams held in Ikeja, Lagos.
Coordinator, Ijaw Monitoring Group, Mr. Joseph EvaOther high profile personalities at the celebration are:
- Speicial Adviser on Culture to Governor Kunle Amosun of Ogun State, Chief Shina Williams
- Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, represented by Basorun Akinade
Mrs. Jonathan who was also represented by the Senior Special Assistance to President on Youths and Students matter, Mr. Jude Imagwe said that the problem of insecurity in the state is a collectively responsibility.
She thanked Nigerians and reminded them that they all have responsibility to play in the security challenges Nigeria is presently facing.
