According to the report from BBC, Shettima said he has passed the information to the military for proper verification.

He stressed that he is of the believe that the girls are still in the country and not taken across the border to Chad or Cameroon as allegedly believed.

The President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, on the other hand, said that an Israeli counter-terrorism team would arrive Nigeria to assist in the search for the girls who were abducted in Chibok, a suburb of Borno State on April 14.

But apart from the military experts provided by U.S. and U.K to assist, the duo country have distanced themselves from the suggestion that would lead them to sending soldiers to taking part in the rescue operation.

“There’s no intention at this point to be putting any American boots on the ground” said U.S Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel on Sunday.

UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, said it was unlikely Nigeria would ask for British troops to help, but he added: “I said to President Jonathan where we can help, please ask, and we will see what we can do.”
