Boko Haram: Army discovers rocket launcher factory in Kano

Kano State – The Defence Headquarters, DHQ on Friday, disclosed that the military has discovered a rocket launcher production facility at Daroyi District in Kumbotso Local Government Area of kano.

In a statement issued and signed by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade, showed a shocking discovery of a factory allegedly sect up by Boko Haram sect.

Olukolade said that the cordon and search that led to the discovery of the facility, equally led to the arrest of a prominent member of the terrorist group.

Olukolade said  “Locally made anti-aircraft gun and mortar accessories and rocket propelled grenade tubes and launcher along with accessories were recovered.

“Also seized were three AK47 rifles and hundreds of rounds of assorted ammunition as well as drilling machines and other fabricating equipment.

The statement urged the general public to report anything found suspicious to the security agencies in their area to avoid act of terrorists.
