The Nigerian Police has on Wednesday offered to pay N50 million ($300,000) reward to anyone with a credible information that would lead to the rescue of more than 200 abducted girls of Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State.
On April 14, members of the Boko Haram sect abducted 276 students from their hostels, and released a video on April 4 threatening to sell the girls into slavery.
Meanwhile, Boko Haram attacked another part of Borno yesterday, abducting another 8 girls. The abduction of the girls had attracted international concern.
The United State on Tuesday, through the Secretary of State, John, offered to help in the rescue by sending troops to Nigeria.
