BENIN—Ahead of the 2016 governorship election in Edo State, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has said it had thrown its doors open for credible persons aspiring to contest in the election to join the party.
Elder Godfrey Ehimen, APGA state chairman disclosed this in Benin City at the party’s stakeholders meeting attended by leaders from the three senatorial districts of the state.
He said: “APGA as a ranking national party has opened wide its doors to all aspirants credible enough who may wish to use its platform to contest the 2016 election and with genuine ambition of becoming Edo next governor. “
Elder Ehimen disabused the mindset of those who were yet to identify with the party, saying, “APGA as it is today has been re-strengthened and a force to reckon with in the 2016 governorship election in Edo State.”
