Unconfirmed report has it that the embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki was on Thursday pelted with stones and sachet of water during prayer to mark Eid-el-Kabir in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The report also said that Mr. Saraki was in company of the Emir of Ilorin, and was later whisked away by the police haven’t been attacked by his own people.
Meanwhile, few people claimed that the senate President present at the mosque attracted praises not stones.
Many social media users who claimed to have witnessed the incidents alleged that they saw Saraki being whisked away by the police after being attacked at the moque in Kwara.

When one account claimed that Saraki was actually hailed by the people, some others lashed out in response to emphasize that the senate president was pelted with stones and water.
One Mohammed Brimah, whose Twitter information column indicates he is one of the coordinators of the APC Youth Forum, also stated on Twitter that Saraki, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was stoned.

It is unclear what led to the action of the people but people have insituated that the action may be connected to the present situation of the senate President.
Saraki is on trial at the Code of Conduct Bureau for allegedly under declaring his asset while he was the governor of Kwara State.
It is shocking as people rumoured that Saraki is the political godfather of the current governor of Kwara State, Abdulfata Ahmed, yet allowed such an ugly incident to one of the most influential and number 3 citizen of the country.
