Despite move by a former state governor, Timipre Sylva’s effort to frustrate his party decisions, the All Progressives Congress has ordered a fresh governorship primaries on Monday for the November governorship election in Bayelsa State.
The directives was given by the party National Chairman, Chief Odigie-Oyegun in Abuja on Monday shortly after the party’s National Working Committee meeting.
Sylva, as one of the APC governorship aspirant in the state had argued that he won the primary conducted a week ago, which the Edo State governor said was hijacked by hoodlums.
The hoodlums who were said to have been Sylva’s fans invaded the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenogoa, which was conducted by Governor Adams Oshiomhole who headed the electoral committee
