His statement fall in line with the military, the Public Relations Officer of FMC, Yola, Mallam Adam Dodo who had earlier said he was recovering, and the presidency also tweeted that he was fine as he was shot on the thigh, contrary to a section of the media that he was seriously wounded by the sect and was receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yola.

Obasanjo’s close friends had advised him to fly his son, Adeboye abroad for immediate medical treatment, but the former president refused.

Another dignitary who visited the Adeboye in the hospital was the Adamawa acting Govevernor, Umaru Fintiri.

The acting governor commeded the brave soldier and other Nigerian Armed Forces who he said are fighting bravely to defend the country’s integrity.
