The ardent critic, the former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, who though, have been tongue lashed by Nigerians for his utterances, has spat again.
Fani-Kayode on his facebook page, lashed at Nigerians who go on international media calling for the return of the abducted Chibok girls without condemning the activities of the terrorist.
This may not be unconnected to the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo’s interview on BBC Hausa on Thursday where he said the government had not given him the go ahead to continue his negotiation with the dreaded islamist sect, Boko Haram.
Obasanjo also said that there is the possibility the children might not return, and those who might be released would be those carrying the children of the terrorists.
Fani-Kayode in his statement expressed disappointment on high profile Nigerians who agitate for the return of the girls without a word of condemnation for the past three years.
He said” Calling for the return of our Chibok girls is laudable and necessary. However when one or two prominent individuals go on the international circuit and continue to do so without condemning Boko Haram itself and when it is clear from their record in public office and past utterances that they have not criticised Boko Haram on even one single occassion in the last three years, I begin to get very suspicious. Who the cap fits, let them wear it”
