The State Police Commissioner, Alkali Baba, Usman, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects to journalists in Asaba on Thursday, disclosed that the suspects were arrested on a tip-off and subsequent raid of their “black spots” in Asaba and its environs.

While saying that five tricycle riders were also arrested for alleged breach of agreement, the police boss said, “The tricycle riders were arrested for contravening the laws of working beyond 10pm.

“We met with their union and agreed that tricycle riders should work and stop at 10pm, instead the suspects work beyond 10pm to help robbery suspects accomplish their evil mission.”

He said that the suspects would be charged to court after investigations would have been concluded.
