Oil marketers move to end fuel scarcity, strike

Oil marketers have restated their commitment to the quick resolution of the crises in the oil industry that has led to scarcity of petroleum products and untold hardship on Nigerians.

In a statement by Executive Secratary, Major Oil Marketers Association, MOMAN, Thomas Olawore, said the association is leading efforts to engage all stakeholders to resolve the on-going fuel scarcity.

” The Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria is leading efforts to engage all stakeholders to resolve the on-going fuel scarcity.  MOMAN is talking to all parties involved to suspend the current strike and negotiate their differences.  All parties are currently talking to resolve all issues.”

Nigerians are currently groaning under worsening fuel scarcity occasioned by oil marketers and depot operators’ refusal to import and distribute petroleum products over N200 billion unpaid subsidy claims, as well as, the strike by the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, and Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN.
