The way i saw the CNN correspondent presently covering the #Bringbackourgirls in Nigeria yesterday during her interview with the Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, got me thinking if she was compromised.
This led me to discovering that in 2010, Isha Seshe was in Nigeria to interview President Goodluck Jonathan after the death of Yar’Adua.
During the interview with the President, Seshe asked a very concerned question about Jonathan’s ambition. She made the President realized that he was violating the agreement of zoning.
As the President was defending himself, Seshe asked if he was ready to sacrifice the peace in the country over his ambition because THE NORTHERNERS ARE AGGRIEVED.
Lets have a flashback of her questions:
“There are many who believe that with your decision to seek reelection, you are going against the zoning agreement which states that the presidency will rotate between north and south every 8 years. the late President Yar’Adua was a northerner, he died in his first term. There are those who feel you are putting your personal ambition ahead of the STABILITY AND PEACE of Nigeria. is that what you are doing?
The President attempt to respond to her question led to her asking “You are effectively saying if i understand you that the zoning agreemtn doesn’t affect the Presidency. because many disagree even the former Vice President Atiku Abubkar has said that it is not the case they signed in 2002 December caucus meeting that there was an expressed decision that it should include the Presidency, but be that as it may, i ask you this question, SHOULD VIOLENT BREAK OUT? Which you could never rule out in Nigeria unfortunately, it’s a reality. Then she repeated the same question Should violent break out as a result of your decision because the northerners are aggrieved, will you take responsibility?
The question above seem to be something Seshe has seen before or heard that she didn’t bother to think about right now that she is back to Nigeria. It was gathered that the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar was the one who invited the CNN correspondent to Nigeria in 2010.
The world seems to look at the attack on the students from one angle, everyone rain their insult on the federal government ignoring completely, the Principal of the school who initially alleged that she was in the school during the attack and later said she was in Abuja for medical treatment, the Borno State Govenor, Shettima who the WAEC director said was informed to relocate the students to Maiduguri due to insecurity problem, or the Senator who is constantly knowing about the whereabout and the next action of the Boko Haram since the abduction.
Everyone flare about the arrest of Naomi, the leader of the protesters who was allegedly arrested by the police after the meeting called by the First Lady, Dame Patience, the outside community and Nigerians refused to come to the term that Naomi sneaked into the hall pretending to be Grace and also, lying to be one of the mothers who her daughter was abducted, thereby beating security who was already tensed over the abduction. Should such a woman be interrogated?
Since the CNN correspondent came to Nigeria, she has not taken the time to put into consideration, the views of the Federal government over the abduction of the 276 students of Government Secondary School, Chibok, nor has she invite both sides to argue it out before themselves who really ignored the instruction that led to the abduction.
Isha should be asked who told her there might be violence if President Jonathan contested when she came to Nigeria in 2010. Who were the aggrieved northerners? The video revealed that the CNN correspondent had already concluded on what she was fed with before the interview judging from her posture and manner of her questions, and presently, she has concluded on what she found out from the parents, the government house in Borno State, and other anti-Jonathans.
is Isha Sesay, CNN correspondent working for the Northerners?
