President Jonathan"s cousin regains freedom from kidnappers

President Jonathan’s cousin, Chief Nengote Nitabai has been rescued from his kidnappers by the police.

The rescue was confirmed by Bayelsa Commissioner of Police, Hilary Okpara, that Nitabai has regained his freedom.


Nitabai was kidnapped by a 10 man ganged who sneaked into his house on Feburary 23, in his hometown in Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.


Previously, the kidnappers rejected a N30 million ransom provided by his family because according to them, it was too small.


Chief Nitabai is about 70 years old.


What NAIJA CENTER NEWS could not confirmed at the time of filing this report is the actual amount the family finally paid for his release. (0)
