Boko Haram Siege In Chibok: We Are Still Counting Our Loses – Chairman

The chairman of Chibok Community, Hosea Abana Tsambido has lamented that even months after the deadly attack in Chibok by the Boko Haram sect, the people of the community are still counting their loses.

Tsambido who was speaking during the daily sit-out of the #BringBackOurGirls narrated sorrowfully how corpses of those who disappeared during the attack were being found.


“One of my relations disappeared during that time. He went to somewhere to make call. In Chibok, the telephone network is hard to get so people had to go to a particular place to get network. He went there and at the cause of making call, he was killed by the sect.


” When my people didn’t see him again, they thought that he has been abducted by the dangerous group. It was just recently that his decomposed body was found. My people knew it was him because they recognised his cloth,” he said.


The Chibok chairman added that his people though has lost a relation, where relived to know the whereabouts of their son which had enable them give him a decent burial.


Recall that November last year, Boko Haram seized the town of Chibok, killing people and burning houses. Boko Haram had earlier in April last year, stormed the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok and abducted 219 school girls.
