PDP Accuses Rivers APC Chairman, Davies Ikanya Of Running Out Of Ideas

The State chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Davies Ikanya may as well has run out of ideas and to make up for the vacuum, decided to peddle rumours, falsehood and malicious lies against political opponents and perceived enemies.

This is the position of the chairman of the State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bro Felix Obuah in response to all the cacophony of lies and fanning of embers of disunity by Mr. Ikanya through malicious and fictitious press releases and statements especially on the position of the members of registered political parties under the aegis of the State Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, on the recent judgment of the Justice Suleiman Ambrosa led-governorship election petition tribunal, alleging that the report of the IPAC position was singlehandedly written by the State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah, who also doubles as the State Chairman of IPAC without the involvement of the  members of the IPAC.

The PDP Chairman in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam described the statement by IKanya as unfortunate and bad politics for the APC Chairman to deliberately choose the ignoble path of lies.

According to the State PDP boss, 24 members of the State Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC out of 28 that make up the membership of the group were physically present during the press conference in Port Harcourt, stressing that the text of the press briefing with names of chairmen and signatures of the 24 political parties were aired on all major television and radio stations, and also published full page colour in over 10 major national and local newspapers in the country.

The PDP as a party of fairness and equity is willing to give free copies of national and local newspapers that published the IPAC text of the press briefing, as well as copies of the television broadcast to Mr Ikanya to avail himself of the names of members of IPAC that attended and signed the text of the press briefing, since it does appear that Mr Ikanya still seriously traumatized over the woeful loss by his party during the last general elections, can no longer buy or read newspapers, view television or listen to radio stations.

In same vein, we challenge Mr Ikanya to release an unfalsified list of IPAC recognized members who were not part of the press briefing.

The State PDP therefore counsels the State APC Chairman to always follow the path of honour by telling the truth and desisting from infantile lies, wondering what legacy Mr Ikanya will bequeath his children and generations yet unborn, when lying has become his language and trademark and by extension, those of all the APC members.
