Oshiomhole – It seems the need to retaliate the last protest carried out by traders, youths and women who dressed in red in Benin City has not been laid to rest as information gathered revealed that the counter protest may take place tomorrow, Friday.
Women had protested against the state government, particularly against the governor who they alleged had insulted the Esama of Benin Kingdom, Chief Igbinedion.
The women also protested the increment of tuition fee and the enactment of the Land Use Charge by the governor.
NAIJA CENTER NEWS had reported that the governor had allegedly dashed out N50m and 2000 Hollandis to the women to retaliate the protest.
The new arrangement, according to a source is to be handled by the governor himself and his wife.
The protest is scheduled for tomorrow Friday 20th November, 2015. The women will take off from Urokpota hall at 8.am and march to the government house where they will be received by the governor personally.
Oshiomhole administration had been under attack since he enacted the Land Use Charge, openly declared to probe a former governor of the state, Lucky Igbinedion who he accused of allocation 200,000 hectares of government owned land to his father.
