The governor of Kogi State, Idris Wada has accused Edo State governor Adams Oshiomhole of importing cultists to the state ahead of governorship election on Saturday.

This was contained in a press statement signed by his chief communication manager, Mr. Phrank Shaibu.

The governor said several cultists funded by Oshiomhole were imported into Lokoja with cache of arms and are lodged in three hotels in the state capital.

According to him, the cultists are led by one Philip Shaibu, who is a serving member of the House of Representatives and a former factional president of the National Association of Nigerian Students.

45-year old Shaibu is the All Progressives Congress House of Rep member representing Etsako East/Etsako West/ Etsako Central Federal Constituency in Edo state.

The governor’s aide vowed that they won’t lay docile and wait for the alleged cultists to overrun the state, adding that they are calling the attention to the whole world to what is playing out in Kogi state.

Efforts to reach the Edo state governor’s office as at the time of this report have not been successful.
