By Ehi Ekhator, Naija Center News

The senator behind the petition that landed the deputy senate President, Ike Ekweremadu at the Police Headquarters in Abuja has come out to the open.

The petition was written by Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi through a group called The Unity Forum.

PDP had on Sunday raised an alarm that members of the All Progressives Congress were after the life of Senator Ekweremadu over his emergence as the Deputy Senate President.

Ekweremadu was said to have been quizzed today after being invited yesterday by the Inspector General of police on the believe that he had forged senate rules.

According to the petition, which was titled “Forgeries/Fraudulent Use of Senate Standing Orders/Rules 2015 (As Amended) By The 8th Senate”, the  Standing Orders was not amended during the entire life of the 7th Senate, dding that the 8th Senate  has not equally sat to deliberate on it.

Though Ekweremadu was invited by the IGP, in the document which NAIJA CENTER NEWS acquired, neither the deputy senate nor other senator names were mentioned.
