APC"ll win with or without you - Omorede Osifo replies Imansuagbon

A former commissioner for Youths, Sports and Social Mobilisation in Edo State, Honorable Omorede Osifo has lashed Barr. Kenneth Imansuagbon over a statement credited to him.

NAIJA CENTER NEWS had reported Imansuagbon saying that the All Progressives Congress in Edo State will lose 2016 governorship election if the  ticket is not given to him.

“The Rice Man” as he is fondly called, also said  Governor Adams Oshiomhole may not support his candidacy, but threatened to get his governorship ticket through other political parties if he is not given the chance.

“If i am not given the chance to run for governorship election in 2016, i will run under a different political party, i can assure you that. If the APC did not give me ticket, they will not win the election. I was not treated fairly in 2007 by AC, and i also left PDP after seeing the way the primaries was conducted in 2012. I supported Buhari because of the kind of man he is, if Buhari integrity is anything to come by, he won’t allow them to screw the 2016 primaries”, Imansuagbon warned.

The statement has generated a lot of backlash among Edo youths who believed that Imansuagbon is a political prostitute who only returned to the APC for the sole purpose of dragging the governorship position.

Responding to Imansuagbon, Omorede told NAIJA CENTER NEWS that APC will win the election with or without him.

She said “Big lie! APC is winning the Election with or without Imansuagbon”

The former commissioner stressed that It Is a Benin man’s turn to be governor in Edo State.

“He is always optimistic and never wins! I’ts time for an Edo South Governor! We need a Benin man of integrity as the next Governor of Edo State

“We have a lot of men of integrity in Edo State! When they come out with their manifestos, we will analyze them and pick the best.” She said.

When our correspondent asked if Imansuagbon was not qualified as one of the men of integrity, and if she has thought of the possibility that the philanthropist may win if he chose to run under a different political party, Omorede responded “It’s the turn of the Benin’s. He won’t win! You can take that to the Bank, I will remind you next year after the elections. I predicted Buhari will win Months before the presidential elections. It’s the same way i am predicting that Imansuagbon will not win.

It could be recalled that Oshiomhole sacked Omorede as a commissioner for  Youths, Sports and Social Mobilisation after the governor felt disappointed in the failure of the floodlights at the Sam Ogbemudia stadium failed to power on during a Youth Summit and Concert which brought the who’s who in the entertainment industry to Benin City on the 18th January, 2014.
