As the fight against the islam extremist get tougher, the President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan has appealed to the House of representative to grant him an approval in order for his government to borrow $1bn to fight the insurgents.
The letter from the president was read during the plenary in the house in Abuja today (Wednesday)
The money, according to the President, would be used to order upgraded equipment for the Armed Forces.
