Breaking: Many fear dead as another bomb explodes at NNPC filling station in Kano

Many fear dead as a bomb went off at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, along Maiduguri Road, Hotoro Quarter, Kano State on Monday at about 10 a.m


This come barely 24 hours a female suicide bomber blew self up and injured six others, and a Catholic church attacked where 6 people were reported dead at a University in Kano


According to a press release by the Nigerian police force, a female suicide bomber joined the queue of people buying kerosene at the station before detonating the explosives.


Eight persons are injured and rushed to the nearest hospital while the suicide bomber and three others have been confirmed dead.


The area have been condoned off by the police as the Police Bomb Disposal Experts are currently securing the area.


The Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Frank Mba advised Nigerians to be vigilant and report any suspicious persons or activities to the security forces, adding that investigation has started and intensive patrol of the city is ongoing.


He added “It is instructive to note that the Mega Station did not go ablaze due to the security barricade put in place by the Policemen on duty at the station. Such a situation would have clearly complicated the Emergency response.”


 


 


 


Today, 28-07-14 at about 10:00am, another suicide bomb went off at Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC Mega Filling Station at Hotoro Quarter along Maiduguri Road, Kano.
