In presenting the award to Hon. Evbuomwan, the Executive Director of CESVO, Prince Salih Musa Yakubu disclosed that national interest, office attendance, servicom compliance, integrity, public accessibility, ministerial policy performance, ethical conduct, and innovation were among the many factors considered and assessed independently to make him a gold medallist.

Prince Yakubu in his words said ’’ it takes the grace of God for a man to reach the peak of success in life but it takes character for its sustainability; your character have sustained you to this level sir’’. He said the choice of Hon. Evbuomwan was based on collation of answers from questionnaires and confidential independent research exercise across the different strata of Edo State.

In his acceptance speech, the Commissioner expressed his appreciation for the honour bestowed on him, especially from an organisation that he has never come in contact with.

On his over 70% performance appraisal score card, Hon. Francis Evbuomwan used the occasion to reiterate his commitment and determination to work harder and put more effort to attain higher grounds; because according to him, ‘”there’s no reason why we cannot score a 100 %”, particularly as hard work and service delivery is the hallmark and motivation for the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s administration.

Hon. Evbuomwan further noted that the award is a “challenge to work even harder “ , saying the “ reward for hard work is more work” and encouraged the team of CESVO to do more and discover more people who can be celebrated elsewhere outside Abuja.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of a gold medal and induction as ‘’His Excellency, Ambassador of Ethics and a Man of Conscience’’ and a score card on performance appraisal to the Commissioner, while the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Felix Osa Otoide on behalf of the Ministry received a National Certificate of Credence as the ‘’Most Ethically Responsible Ministry’’ in Edo State based on their quality and program implementation performance, budget performance and national housing policy performance.
