The son of the Late Gani Fawehinmi, Muhammed Fawehinmi has blamed the former President of Ngieria, Olusegun Obasanjo for being part of the problem of Boko Haram faced in Nigeria today.
Muhammed disclosed this while speaking today at the Bimbo and Shola Connect, a live programme on LTV 8. He revealed that Obasanjo ignored the warning by the Russian military intelligence that there was growth of some unknown fundamentalist in Sambisa Forest while he was still the President.
Muahammed suggested that since the situation has gotten worse and the sects have succeeded in abducting more than 200 girls from Chibok, the best way to make sure they are safely returned home is to negotiate terms with them.
He added “what matters most as of now is the safety of the missing girls, the Jonathan led government can release the prisoners as requested by Boko haram just to get the girls and then adopt other military measures in fighting the sect.” He concluded.
