Holy Buhari and the Ministers Of Saints Heaven Refused To Send To Him

Fejiro Oliver

“Don’t fool yourself, my dear. You’re much worse than a bitch. You’re a saint. Which shows why saints are dangerous and undesirable.”

Ayn Rand

I have personally refrained from writing anything on President Muhammadu Buhari leadership since he was elected for any media publication except on my Facebook and Twitter timelines in order to give more time for a better assessment, but I will be doing him injustice and greater harm to Nigerians if I stick to my selfish promise of ‘allowing him more time’.

President Buhari
President Buhari

Some do love Buhari more than I do, but very few can boast of writing against former President Goodluck Jonathan, demanding for his ouster from Aso Rock than my modest self. The records are there in print and online media. Like the young folks would say; ‘Google is your friend’. If still in doubt, go to village and argue with your age grades under the village square where your opinion can tower above theirs.

For the love of Nigeria, we all agreed to vote in Buhari to bring the needed change. We forgot about his dictatorial past and focused on his anti corruption stance when he held sway as a military dictator. Funny enough, this was a man we all demonized since 2003, denied him our votes, with the media used against him. Fast forward to 2015, he became the darling bride of the media, and with every arsenal within our reach which included dangerous propaganda, we canonized him as holy and installed him as President.

But a President cannot rule alone, and so cabinet members must be appointed, screened, confirmed and sworn in. The slogan during the campaign was simple; “Change has come” and everyone with tainted records must be pushed far from the corridors of power, irrespective of political affiliation and friendship. To prove a point, holy Buhari vehemently refused to have his minister for five months, the longest in the history of our democracy, but we were not bothered, knowing that he was taking his time to bring on board saints who will complement his ‘holy’ nature.

We waited, fasted and prayed, waiting for the saints that will be sent from heaven. We looked at all the President’s party men to see the saints among them and found none, not even by half and concluded that he was going to bring in technocrats who were only sympathetic to his cause during the electioneering period, and when we peeped into the crystal ball to see; we found saints among the sympathizers and believed that they will be the one to sit among the holy one the villa.

After the wait for the list of saints, Buhari did not truly shock us, as he came back from heaven with a list of men already condemned to hell fire by God, men that even the devil will reject as his candidates. Despite keeping us anxious for the list of the likely ‘cherubim and seraphim’, he brought same recycled politicians that have eaten our yams since the 70s.

Be not deceived, the next four years will not be different from the past sixteen years that the locust ate. The next four years will be a merry go-round for these set of ministers who will pretend to work for few months and as soon as the tension for performance is reduced, they will roll up their agbadas and babariga, and settle down to loot the treasury. I really hope to be proved wrong. This new sheriff that came to town is not truly whom we thought he is after all. This new sheriff is very good at barking but cannot bite. He lives on his past record and must be wishing that this was military era so he can re-enact what he did back then. But again, even he wants to go back to his first sojourn, there is no Tunde Idiagbon to help him perform.

This new sheriff must have realized that the Nigeria of 1980s where saints easily abound is different from the Nigeria of 2015 where it takes guts to search for true men of honor, integrity, who have not stained their hands with public funds.

Since the new sheriff came into power, we have heard more of “we will do”, without anything being done. We are no longer in the era of campaigns when promises are made, but now in the time where those promises are realized. It doesn’t take rocket science for a serious President to kick off a project or see that an action is taken over negative issues. It only take guts, and truth be told, the new sheriff do not possess this guts to take Nigeria from the woods going by his ministerial appointments as well as his personal actions. The ‘body language’ that worked wonders in the power sector when he first came has suddenly gone.

Then, it was assumed that the ‘body language’ instilled fear in the cabals that controlled the power sector, hence they were forced to provide electricity to Nigerians frequently than it was in the past. We were shown blocked bottled water on social media to depict how his presidency has affected the power sector and while we were yet to fully settle down, his body language also affected the petroleum industry as fuel sold for the normal prices with no queue to buy it. It was not as if we bought beyond the approved rate or had serious queue during the Jonathan era, but trust the Buharist fanatics who made news out of it. Now the queues are back and petrol products are sold above the normal price, yet no head has rolled.

The dealers have not only disobeyed the orders telling them not to sell beyond the approved rate, but also arm twisted him into paying them subsidy claims that he once claimed not to exist. After paying them, they poured sand in his eyes by keeping petrol beyond the reach of the common man, and yet the new sheriff has not made anyone a scapegoat. The bombs have not stopped, rather they have increased, with the terrorists finally showing to the world how they make their bombs, and weeks after, the Nigerian military are yet to uncover the bomb factory. This is after moving the command base to Borno State.

One does not expect Buhari to perform wonders for we never elected a magician. We do not expect him to automatically stop the bomb explode and protect Nigerians, for we didn’t elect a superman. But we expected him to bring in onboard men and women who will truly change the country, not some bunch of old known thieves of PDP stock who crossed over just to achieve their political ambitions. We expected him to give to us the saints that made him kept us waiting for weeks, with the hope that we will see new breed of appointees, not some political fellows who will continue from where the accused Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) left us.

The time is ticking and the new sheriff is already failing woefully, denying his campaign promises, while his fanatics justify it with the failure of the PDP. If the Buhari leadership is judged based on the past performanc of the PDP, we can begin to tell them to remove the word ‘Change’ from their nomenclature. Change is doing something different from the past, with clear evidences seen.

The new sheriff has already failed the first litmus test of bringing in saints that should have sanitized the system before the true change arrives, but like every yam eater that came before him, with the exception of Late President Musa Yaradua, he has also come to cut his share of the national cake, eat our yams that he never ate well during his first sojourn. We can only but pray that God help us so that he does not finish the yams. Let the Buharists as usual draw the sword as they are known to do, when viewpoints are different from theirs. Nigerians, live with your saints that Buhari has given to you.

Silent Corrupt King: The Dirty Fraud Lifestyle Of Debt Management Office (DMO) DG

By Fejiro Oliver

If there is one man who will be cooling of his feet in jail when General Muhammadu Buhari resumes office as the President of Nigeria, then the DG of the DMO will wear the prison uniform.

The Debt Management Office (DMO) is saddled with managing the debt profile of the Federal Government and even as far as securing bond for the nation, but the Dr Abraham Nwankwo led leadership has succeeded in converting some of the bonds taken to personal cash while wasting our collective wealth by diverting into private pockets.

Investigations carried out revealed that Nwankwo lives a very discreet life, so as to cover the wild alleged corrupt life his currently lives. The agency who has the Vice President Namadi Sambo as its Board Chairman has raised a bond of $2 billion but ironically spent over $200 million or 10% of the bond secured to pay faceless consultants and to secure it, when they ought to have these people working inside the office.

We gathered that whenever they go to the International Capital Market (ICM) to raise bond, they pay a lawyer outside the agency, a whooping sum of $700,000 as consultant fees for issuance. This money according to our sources within DMO actually goes to the DG’s purse. Ironically, the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala who supervises the agency approves money for the ICM without checking to see if the money approved is actually used for its purposes, such as the inflation of legal and consultancy fees.

THE DG PROMISCOUS LIFE

Nwankwo is not just an alleged fraudster within the organization, but also a philanderer who sleeps with the staff and rewards them with the goodies of life, all from the proceeds of the illegal wealth gotten from the country’s coffer. The man who was appointed the DMO DG in 2007 currently has a lover in the person of Patience Uboma from Cross River State, a Level 10 officer in the agency. As a reward for her expertise on bed, she was posted to the department of Sovereign Debt Unit (SBU), a money making department that handles the fuel subsidy fund.

The lady who was known to be very poor and even ‘begs’ for lunch from her colleagues has suddenly made it big as a bed warmer to the DG. She has currently bought one of the latest brand new leaf green Rav 4 Jeep worth N4 million last year.

MORE AND MORE FRAUD

The DG who lives at Maitama we also reliably found out donates millions in church while he has a transport company which we are currently tracing to get the name. The burial of the Father In-Law turend to a conduit pipe to siphon money as a budget of N18 million was approved for adverts on AIT and few newspapers to announce the burial programme. The burial which comes up on the 16th of April is mandatory for all staff as the emperor will deal with anyone who does not attend, while sacking some.

Sources within the agency revealed to us that Nwankwo salary is not above N600,000 as a DG  while Directos earn N450,000, but he has properties worth multi million Naira. One of such is a mansion built in his Obowo village of Imo State which allegedly cost over N70 million, with a brand new Lincoln Navigator Jeep worth over N10 million.

Against FG policy, he has various official cars like Pajero Crusier, two extra jeep and the number series of the Peugeot brand all fueled by government. He also has his 3 children, 2 girls and a boy all schooling in the US.

A particular staff, Mantakari Loveth made redundant by the DG and was sacked dragged the agency to the Industrial High Court, court and corrupt as ever; the DMO paid a lawyer outside the eye popping sum of N6 million to handle the case which is yet to begin. Mantakari is now living in the USA.

We can also reliably report that there are no staff union in the agency, as the dictatorial DG has no tolerance for such. One of the top management staff noted that it will take years for the new Board of Directors Chairman, Yemi Osibanjo who is the Vice President to find out about the corruption going since, as it has become a norm within the system, with secrecy as its watchword.

Calls put across to Mr Abraham Nwankwo were not answered neither message replied.

Billion Fraud: CBN Governor spends Nigeria money on needless mansions (photos)

Fejiro Oliver

While Nigerians continue to wallow in abject poverty, the number one banker, Godwin Emefiele who should be managing her wealth has suddenly found a new love of wasting the nation’s money recklessly.

Billion Fraud CBN Governor spends Nigeria money on needless mansions (photos) The uncompleted Mansions

This is coming barely after six months he mounted the saddle of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as its Governor. At a time when the Naira is gradually devalued in the international market, the top banker has used the collective wealth of the people to purchase mind boggling properties; the type never seen in the history of the financial institution.

These properties we gathered from very reliable sources are for the Deputy Governors and Directors who are already living in eye popping mansions at the expense of the poor voters. The governor, who took office on June 3, from the Sarah Alade, who acted as the CBN Governor following the suspension of the former Governor, Sanusi Lamido Lamido on the allegation of financial recklessness may just have been engaged in more of what Sanusi Lamido was suspended for few months at the helm of affairs of the country’s apex bank.

Insider sources who got uncomfortable with his Emefiele itchy finger confided in this reporter that billions of Naira has been removed from the coffers of the CBN just to rebuild the official residence of the governor located on Missouri Street, Maitama, Abuja, while several other billions vanished into thin air all in the name of acquiring new properties that are never needed for the Deputy Governors and Directors.

Surprisingly, the Governor’s properties gulping the nations billions was built just in 2009 by immediate past Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, who was tired of wasting money for hotel accommodation or rented mansions. Despite staying in these luxurious mansions free, Emefiele still pockets home a princely sum of N400 million as accommodation when he resumed office.

Okowa, Ogboru, Emerhor, Upu and the deadly Uvwiamube declaration

Fejiro Oliver

“When people have tried everything and have discovered that nothing works, they will tend to revert to what they know best—which will often be the tribe, the totem, or the taboo.”

Christopher Hitchens

It is never in my blood to be sycophantic, and it is just too late to begin such at such a stage in my media career. It is for this reason that while being a media person to my Principal and boss, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), I still lash out at the PDP and Presidency whenever they err in my eyes. My Principal knows this and has no problem with it, so let this be one of such if it is seen so in this very short piece.

At the twilight of the PDP governorship primaries, I never hid my displeasure for the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), not because they were against my boss but they attempted to force it down our throats that in a tribe where many tribes abound; they swore to hold the knife and the yam, cutting it out to whomever they love or sought their political patronage. I refused to be bought over with ethnicity and claim of being the ones with the highest population and thus should pull the strings. My anger knew no bound when they connived against my boss by bringing in a candidate of no electoral value to diminish a man who has worked for sixteen years for the party. It was in that anger that all their atrocities were made public to Nigerians which has remained their albatross today.

They still have a chance to reclaim their battered ego and if they so wish, I present to them a lifeline to hold on to or forever remain silent in the political gymnastic of Delta and Nigerians. During the Uvwiamuge Declaration which I was privy to and wrote on, it was made sacrosanct that the UPU will support JUST TWO political parties, namely the PDP and the All Progressive Congress (APC), depending on which of them picked an Urhobo son to fly their flag.

To those of us with political foresight, we knew that the PDP was either going to pick an Anioma candidate or Urhobo but for the sake of equity and knowledge that Delta at this moment needs an experienced man who can turn the State around for prosperity, we stuck with Okowa while the rest went with the numerous anointed candidates. The UPU despite all pleas to them to allow equity play stuck by their guns and played the gods of the land until their candidate lost out.

This is the crux of our cross. Seeing that the PDP has picked an Anioma candidate in Okowa, the die is cast which is to stick to the alternative by going for Olorogun Ortega Emerhor. Hold it, don’t judge yet. Information however available has again unveiled the UPU as a philandering husband who cannot stand by her words. Despite the Uvwiamuge Declaration, the UPU will in few days time be endorsing Great Ovedje Ogboru as the consensus Urhobo candidate, thereby jettisoning the so call clamored shout of the declaration. If the declaration must be taken serious for any reason, then it has to be ob eyed to the letter and not being selective with it. It is a long known fact that Emerhor will always be the APC flag bearer and thus should be the one the UPU will be supporting.

Let jus put a poser for the UPU. If they cry that the PDP has denied them the governor and therefore will not vote for the party in the State, will such also extend to the Presidential election? Let’s not be pretentious, the UPU will still go for President Goodluck Jonathan anytime any day. If the UPU cannot stand by her words and allow the contest to be between Okowa and Emerhor, while also voting Buhari, then let them forever cease to issue out any instruction on behalf of the Urhobo nation.

The UPU cannot claim to speak for us in political matters and issuing threats except they wish to form a political party named Urhobo Political Union. The Urhobos at this junction must be advised that the UPU cannot decide our fate as they have failed us time without numbers. All the candidates they ever supported have lost woefully. First, they supported the failed bench warmer Senator, Emmanuel Aguariwvado only for him to be disqualified during the primaries and here they come again after taking an alleged million dollars, they present David Edevbie who was thrashed again. Certainly we cannot allow such a union led us to perfidy.

Their soon to be endorsement of Ogboru should not stand in this moment that we seek liberation. Let the declaration be followed to the letter and Ogboru be asked to step down honorably. It is not just the wise thing to do but the moral thing both for UPU and Ogboru who has gone about seeking blessings from various quarters as he has always done, without success in elections (we will talk on him in subsequent series later).

But again, should we allow the UPU to throw their weights behind Emerhor? Far be it Urhobos. The fact that our name is used to coin the union does not mean we should follow a few disgruntled elders to lead us to our political grave. We have seen the light at the end of the tunnel and permit me to say iniovo that the light we see is Senator Ifeanyi Okowa. We have been opportune to govern this State during the time of Felix Ibru and James Onanefe Ibori and even partially during Emmanuel Uduaghan who share maternal blood with us, so why must we play the Oliver Twist in a land where we are all free born. If this be the mentality, then the Northerner should perpetually govern Nigeria, after they are the majority.

The youths who are the engine rooms of Urhobos are too sophisticated to allow the analogue brain of the ‘elders’ play on our digital intelligence in times such as this that we need a man who is Anioma by birth, but Urhobo, Ijaw, Isoko and Itsekiri at heart and Deltan in being. Until we take our destinies in our hands, we will remain pawns in the hands of few who use our name’ Urhobo’ to send their children abroad while preaching tribalism to us, yet during their days; they sang the National Anthem of ‘Though tribe and tongue may differ, in brotherhood we stand”. Have they suddenly grown so old or forgetful that the Anthem they sang meant nothing to them again that they attempt to throw a knife of discord in between us?

Forbid it dear Urhobos and Deltans that any person will be adopted as a consensus candidate and direct us to vote for such. Painfully enough, some of them do not possess the permanent voters card (PVC) as they dread standing for long in the hot sun or rain to cast their vote, but you and I who will suffer the consequences of any mistake will stand there to do the needful, so why follow any declaration when they will not even enforce it. Let him go, let Senator Ifeanyi Okowa carry the gospel of prosperity to our doorsteps. Let the man called Ekwueme which in pidgin means ‘O talk na do’ or ‘He does what he says drive the prosperity vision. Urhobos, no collective selfish decision was taken to decide your birth to be from the central and so no such should decide on your behalf who manage your political destiny when you have the singular power to do so. This declaration just makes no sense!

Jonathan, warn Senator Aguariawvodo before he drags your name into his fail guber ambition

By Fejiro Oliver

Once upon a time there was a politician who made an especially conspicuous ass of himself and didn’t say the newspapers is quoted him.

ROBERT ELLIOTT GONZALES

I write this with all pains in my heart. I write with this hurt because this is not a man I ought to tell these words below or report to the President. But my love for Delta State cannot allow me see an imposter coming to fool my people once again and mute will be my name. I refuse to allow the Urhobos have another unfruitful son of theirs spoil their chances in the race to Dennis Osadebey House. Even if they must lose the election, let it be gallantly and honorably and not woefully under the campaign train of this non performer.

Jonathan Jonathan

Whoever has woken up from his alcoholic sleep and told Senator Emmanuel Edesiri Aguariavwodo to run for the 2015 guber election in my dear State should better go back to slumber and pray for a better dream. Whoever looked into the crystal ball and told Aguariavwodo that the road is clear for him to contest the 2015 election should begin to pray for forgiveness for taking the poor man’s money and deceiving him.

Pray, what is he coming to do in Delta State when the little assignment he was sent to deliver in Abuja has yielded ZERO result? Permit me to give you an exclusive brief of this imposter who has come again to deceive us with is failed dreams of governing a mini Nigeria like Delta. In 2013 when he contested for the Delta Central By-election following the death of Senator Pius Ewherido, he promised able representation. Here was a man I covered his election and even went to his house in Ughelli when he won the election; told him about NTA Sapele being off air, and he promised to bring it back on air few months to office. As if he had anything to offer, he brought out his phone to call the then NTA DG over the issue, but stopped on the ground that he had not been sworn in, and that I should wait till that is done.

Immediately he was sworn in, Aguariavwodo not only stopped picking calls but stopped replying messages. Here was a man who will miss my calls and call back; here was a man who promised to bring a television station in his constituency and exactly one year after, the television station is not only off air but moribund. That said, what has been his contribution to the Urhobo nation since he climb the hallowed chamber. Let’s begin.

If there is any Urhobo who should be ashamed of daring to sing his names into the ears of Delta for 2015 governorship race, such a man should be Aguariavwodo. Just one year into the Senate, when he is yet to find his feet, he comes back to us dropping the name of Mr President as being the one sending him on this impossible mission. What does he take Deltans for? Does he think we are all fools to listen to his tales by moonlight of being the President’s messenger to Delta State? What messenger?

Mr President should begin to disassociate himself from this man, who cannot win a ward election as it stands now. Mr President should know that we decided to give him the honor of agreeing to cue behind the PDP to vote for this failed Senator because of the love we have for him and not Aguariavwodo; and our love must not be taken for granted. Let it be known to all Deltans that when he was chosen by the President to fly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) banner on October 5th 2013, the message was sent through the Governor Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan. What has suddenly gone wrong that the governor is no longer kept in the know on this new strange song composed by the Senator? What a beautiful liar he must become to peddle the name of our President to back up his self ambition.

The Urhobos should begin to reject every message brought about by Aguariavwodo and his foot soldiers. The Senator I know before 2013 do not have the money to pick the Delta State guber form, since his ouster as the NDDC boss; and we should begin to ask him how he has suddenly become wealthy in just a year being in the Senate that he can now oil the machinery of a governorship campaign. His only newspaper, the Urhobo Times was almost folding up, before the President and Governor decided to plead with other aspirants to step down for him. Your guess is as good as mine. He must have swelled his accounts with our constituency allowance waiting for this moment, when he will tell us how foolish we have been for sending him to represent us. Little wonder he has not been able to build on the legacies of Ewherido.

Aguariavwodo should be made to know that the Urhobo nations are not fools, neither are the generality of Deltans going to buy into his ideas of being an Abuja candidate. Has he no elders in his village to warn him on this political journey to doom that he has embarked on? For crying out loud, there are more worthy candidates from Delta State who are closer than the President and have the ears of the first lady, than he who just got into Abuja on consensus ticket. If anyone should be brandishing the Presidential ticket, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa who has been in the Senate for years and Ndudi Elumelu who has been in the House of Representatives should be the ones, or Dr (Mrs) Ngozi Olejeme who is a friend of Mrs Patience Jonathan, not a newbie like Aguariavwodo.

Come to think of it, why is he always coming into the race of an election late when serious candidates have finished consulting? During the Senatorial by-election, he came in late and on Presidential order, the Urhobos forgave him and gave him their votes. Few days to the elections, when well meaning Urhobos and our Anioma brethren have finished their consultation, he jumps into the race. Where was he when Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege, Olorogun David Edevbie and Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi were going round the nooks and crannies of the State, meeting those who matters and seeking political endorsements from Deltans. Where was he when these Urhobo politicians staked their lives for the Uvwiamuge declaration? If all of them had behaved like him, and declared their intention this late like he has done; will there be any Urhobo so far to challenge other well meaning candidates for the race.

Mr. President, please call Senator Aguariavwodo to order and stop him from using your name to campaign, lest the Urhobos turn their anger on you, as wanting to impose a man who will find it hard to win a Chairmanship election free and fair on them, by giving their votes to the opposition come 2015. There are far more worthy aspirants who you can endorse but definitely not a failed politician like him. A man who cannot resurrect a dead NTA Station in his constituency cannot offer any meaningful governance to Deltans.

In 2007, this was the same way he went about dropping the name of the President to vie for the guber election but never succeeded. Is he telling Deltans that without any support from the Presidency he does not have the political clout, goodwill and followership to win a guber election? We need no lecture further on his type of person, as he has clearly made it clear that he is not only self incompetent to run Delta State, but also an appendage of the President. While no one condemns any endorsement by the President; it is regrettably condemnable that a supposed governorship aspirant will put on his hope of succeeding on such endorsement.

We may be forgiving as a people but not stupid as a tribe. In an era when aspirants are known by their pedigree, let Aguariavwodo come before us to present us his score card, either as the Managing Director of NDDC or the current position he currently occupy. Without waiting for the score card, I humbly submit that they are not enough to govern a complex State like that. Even a commissioner who has served four years under the Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan administration will make a better leader with good leadership skills than this ‘sit down dey look’ Senator.

Real politicians are known to be stable and unwavering, but not Aguariavwodo. His lack of focus made him to leave the juicy position of NDDC MD to contest for the Delta State guber years ago, under the pretense that he was told by former President Olusegun Obasanjo to do so, only to be roundly defeated and was not compensated with any post. For those who followed the political games of that time; it goes to show that he has no influence even in the State or National level. His ascension to NDDC was based on the help of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) and same UPU helped him to the red chambers. A man with such low influence will do UPU and PDP lots of evil, should he dare to pick the PDP governorship nomination form. Even the UPU cannot help him, neither can the name dropping of the President save him from a shameful defeat should he chose to go ahead with this inglorious dance of shame.

While no one begrudges his ambition; every ambition must be expressed at the right time. For Senator Emmanuel Edesiri Aguariavwodo, this ambition is not only belated, but selfish and dead on arrival. His ambition using the President as his shadow is a slap to the office of Mr Goodluck Jonathan and a way to tarnish his image towards 2015 in the eyes of the gullible ones who may have bought into his idea that he is truly a product of Aso Rock. The earlier it is nipped in the bud, the better for the presidency and best for entire Deltans. Urhobos should besiege him to begin to account for the locust and palmer worms’ year he has spent in office. Until this is done, this dream of the Senator is a still born that will NEVER see the light of the day.

Even as a returning Senator, Urhobos and the PDP should not give their ticket to him. Delta Central cannot also afford to send him to the Red Chambers when we have a vibrant man like Ighoyota Amori alive. While many may crucify Amori for being an Urhobo traitor, he is a million time better than the Senate bench warmer called Edesiri. In the few years that Amori has been in power, we all can tesitify of how he has transformed his little village of Mosogar into a city. With Amori in the Senate, the Urhobos can close their eyes, rest assured of pulling enough Federal projects into the district. With him as Urhobos representative, the Senate will be made to know that there is an Urhobo man among them; not just because he will showcase the Urhobo traditional wears during sittings, but because he has the capacity and oratory to propose bills and see to its conclusion. Urhobos reject Aguariavwodo for Senate and Governor and let Amori go.

Abia State and Gov. T.a Orji: The Lies And Truth You Never Knew

By Fejiro Oliver

“In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

George Orwell

“Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world…would do this, it would change the earth.”

William Faulkner

Governor Theodore Orji, Abia State Governor Governor Theodore Orji, Abia State Governor

“Never judge a man by the words of an outsider or by his own words alone”, my father has always admonished me. In an era when the power of the pen can bring down a powerful man and lift up an irrelevant man to the sky, we owe ourselves self restraint never to wield such power without a dose of conscience.

If there is any governor who has been maligned in the media, the Guinness World record for that will unarguably go to Gov. T.A Orji. Even people who have never been to Abia State use his as a yardstick for failure in governance. His only good image rating can be traced to his Special Adviser on E-Governance and Strategy, Nnaji Obed, a friend and a brother who have successfully used the Social Media to boost his boss rating. But then, he is just one of such genius who cannot be everywhere when the matter of his boss is being discussed.

It thus became necessary when the Governor agreed to gather some of the most vocal cyber warriors on Facebook Ville and Twitter Ville as well as bloggers to render his stewardship over the years. It was a daunting task no doubt assembling brilliant men and women who have been at the forefront of the negative media campaign against Orji. But again, that is one of the rules of power; using your supposed enemies for your gains.

May I at this junction state that whatever I will pen down here will be the most sincere and honest write up on the governor, state and his service. Even as I write, the governor or his aides have not paid a dime into any of my bank accounts to do image laundering, neither have I been rewarded by his political opponents to smear him as this may turn out to. To God and service to humanity will this flow from the chambers of my assessment. While I speak for myself, I do also do know that some of the young men that were part of the historic journey cannot be bought over with the fattest of cheques.

Abusidiqu will not sell his conscience for TA, neither will Chinedu Ekeke who once wrote on the danger of Daily Champion Newspaper giving their ‘Man of the year’ to the governor whom he described as a serial failure. The Wale Odunsi I met and Ayourb that I discussed with will rather take TA to the cleaners than eulogise him; as such their voices can’t be bought. How about Kiki Ileowo, Segun Dada and Ediong of the Nigeria Newsdesk fame? These dudes will call a spade a spade no matter how much you pay them. Chukwudi Iwuchukwu I dare say is never a friend of the governor and this was an opportunity to tell the world that all he had written on him are truth; so forget about saying he has been bribed. Give it to Mark, Olori Supergal and the Ekekee crew; on this they will do the necessary not the needful.

The journey begins. Right inside the not so magnificent building which house the Abia State Government House emanates the gentle artificial cool breeze. With musical blues serenading the atmosphere gently from the speakers; one word captured it as the guests sloped in – ‘Welcome Home’.

Friends, it was the banquet hall where the smiling Chief Servant (not fake one of Niger State), Theodore Ahamefula Orji was playing host to some of Nigeria popular bloggers and social media influencers, to scrutinize his 7 and half years legacy. Then he walked into the hall. The National Anthem played and I looked at him nakedly; he sang perfectly along, not like some of our Mini9sters who cannot recite it. Give it to him, he is patriotic.

Ahamefula, they rightly named him, meaning, ‘May my name not get lost’. Will his name get lost after his eight years as the Captain of the Abia Vessel? Yours truly who have told you the truth all these years will once again strip TA Orji politically bare based on firsthand experience of the one week tour of the State. “Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.” ― Aldous Huxley

The Hidden Monumental Corrupt Details of Gov. Uduaghan (Part 1)

By Fejiro Oliver

As the race to 2015 heats on in Delta State, many Nigerians especially Deltans are not aware of why Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan is fighting tooth and nail to install his successor who he can play ping pong (apologies to my revered senior brother and legal icon, Festus Keyamo), while he dons agbada in the Senate, but extensive investigations carried out by this writer and written in feature form has unearthed many cans of worms that the governor has kept for many years.

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan

Unknown to Deltans, the governor who is a medical doctor after watching Shell collapse in Warri and moved over to Port Harcourt for oil exploration quickly bought over the popular Shell Hospital, Ogunu. As if that was not enough; set to live a life of affluence and secure his hundred generations, he bought 60% of the houses in Shell Housing Estate, Ogunu.

VEERED INTO COMMUNICATION, BANKING AND HOTEL

Doctor Uduaghan who had earlier been reported to buy some section of the online media and soft sell papers may not be a banker nor a media person, but days of extensive searching and investigation by this writer brought forth a shocker. For those who were present during the launching of Rave TV widely believed to be owned by amazing celebrated Television hostess of ‘Inside Out’, Agatha Amata; what they don’t know is that Rave TV, which airs on Startimes Channel 125 and continental satellite ‘Consat’ and was commissioned on August 8th 2014 by Emmanuel Uduaghan is ironically own by the governor, but fronted for by Agatha, revealed a very reliable source.

Away from Communication, the chubby Delta State Governor is a proud share holder of a new generation bank. While many Nigerians wondered how a new entrant into the sector could muscle the financial strength to acquire a bubbling bank like Enterprise Bank where banks like Fidelity Bank failed, very authentic sources revealed that Uduaghan is the financial brain behind it, owning majority of the shares. If you are still wondering the bank in question; HERITAGE BANK is the name where the governor has stashed away millions.

Away from the banking and communication sector, the governor who has won many Newspapers Man of the year is reliably gathered is the owner of a new hotel being built in Asaba. To remove the eyes of the prying public, one of his fronts, Tuoyo is normally pointed at as owning the over 5 storey eye popping mansion, which has gulped over N300 million, with more still to be spent for finishing and furnishing.

HIS BROKEN DEAL WITH ZENITH BANK AND CONTRACT FRAUD

He is not just a governor but a philanderer. While Delta State battle ghost workers in the state, information not known to the public is that a company by name, HEKERBELLA was given the contract to fish out the ghost workers. In complete disregard for due process of bidding, the contract was awarded at a staggering amount of N1.9 billion, with 60% of the money paid up front. The N1.9 billion when calculated surpasses the amount to be paid to the said ghost workers for the governor’s eight years of misrule. Who else will get such contract for this amount but Laikan, his girlfriend?

The Delta State government according to sources has already created financial problems to the incoming government, as they have plunged the state into a huge debt of N200 billion bonds taken from banks. This writer learnt that the government approached Zenith Bank to plead with them to pay the contractors while they sign a guaranty to pay back within three (3) years, a deal which was rejected by Zenith insisting that the government agree to sign and pay within eighteen (18) months. Various forces in the state who are in the know have told Zenith Bank never to agree to pay the contractors.

Jobs handled by the main consultant through the Directorate of Infrastructures are widely known to be owned by a certain Itsekiri man fronting for him. Ninety percent of the fraudulent kickback goes to the governor, while just ten percent is given to the frontier. This sharing formula is currently tearing the relationship apart, as the front is no longer comfortable with the little he gets.

The massive Delta House also called Guinea House in Lagos has also been sold by the governor to his crony, Peter Nwaoboshi, former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Chairman for a mere sum of N805 Million instead of the N4.5 billion that it was estimated for. The governor according to many frustrated Deltans who have judged his reigned as likened to Rehoboam has successfully prepared his way to jail, if the anti-corruption agencies should begin a search on the State financial books.

My battle with Niger State Governor; thank you for making me a hero - Fejiro

Fejiro Oliver

“If only there was enough space on this tiny ‘heart’ to evoke my unfettered joie de vivre for what you have done. The gaiety, the mirth, the heavenly bubbling of every effusive cell that sings inside me for your kind and pithy offering.”

Joshua Braff

I hate publicity and will do anything to keep away from the glare of the public. I love to be behind the scene while pulling the dangerous strings and reporting the achievements, scandals and corrupt practices of individuals, government and corporate bodies. Despite the knowledge that I am excelling in my chosen career, I have deliberately refused to hug the limelight.

Governor Aliyu, Niger State Governor Aliyu, Niger State

Thus when I picked up the deadly report of following the Niger State Governor, Babangida Muazu Aliyu also called Talba, the least thing that ever came to my mind was that I will be the headline of many media organisations across the globe, or the most talked about journalist around town. In the moment of trials are heroes born and true friends and colleagues known. In times of tribulations do we realize if we have created more enemies over the years or friends.

I love to be the reporter and not the one be reported on; it is my life, but fate decided otherwise and for two weeks, the world was agog with my humble name over the media and cyberspace. The celestials may not forgive me if after my eleven days sojourn in prison and three days incarceration in the Department of State Security (DSS) cell I fail to acknowledge the human hands who rescued me out of the mouth of the lion. To them, I owe my freedom after my creator.

In Inibehe Effiong I found a soulmate. Right from the day we knew each other, our souls whispered ‘perfect’ to each other and ever since then, the immortal cord was struck. My full belief in him made me show myself to him when I visited Uyo, an action I never do. He is the perfect Nigerian who will die for your cause once he finds credibility, integrity and uprightness in you and that he found in me. Where it not for him and a dear friend who blew the trumpet of my kidnap by the SSS on the order of the Niger State government, I would have been assassinated or kept away in a secret cell for years to run mad. Inibehe, I owe you eternal gratitude.

Elombah.com came as a rescue, becoming the first media to call the SSG to demand for my release, even though he first denied. Despite leaving the organization to Daily Voice NG to be its Managing Editor, the media stood by me, refusing to be cowed by the cooked up stories of N50 Million by a corrupt government. News Rescue, that USA based newspaper will have no appetite to stomach the lies of the government, and despite publishing their views, the editorial team maintained that Fejiro Oliver is innocent. I owe Paradigm News my profound gratitude for being a pillar and believing in me, despite not hearing from me. Like the Northern star that never change, they refused to have my image tarnished.

One of Africa most read news medium, Abusidiqu, became a thorn to the government and revealed how my contact with the Niger government came to be. Again, this media chose to stay with me than my oppressors. Universal Reporters and 247ureports played director, protecting my name from being soiled; they are my model for journalism practice. News Express and the Malaysian based News platform, Naija Center, became a life wire, following every positive story about me. I’m stunned by their reportage on me and if words can make the Angels on high personally show gratitude, I will invoke the words for them.

Gong News alongside Scan News are forever engraved in my heart for showing me what comradeship is. The government could have bought them over, but they sold their conscience to truth and with their platforms, they fought my cause. Premium Times News showed me that in moment of oppression, they would rather stay with the oppressed, not the oppressor, just like Sahara Reporters, though with a first impression headline of indictment (caused by media style of getting readers attention), they took the news of all parties. I owe them countless thanks. To Senator Ifeanyi Okowa media teml led by Deltans Diaspora, I’m touched by your show of love and daily call through reports and graphics demanding for my release. My heart is filled with thanks.

The Global Concord Newspaper family refused to believe that I would ever demand for a dime to kill stories and on that they stood, defending me. I’m indebted to them. The Nigerian Voice, CKN Nigeria, Bioreports and The Call NG became a shield, just as Urhobo Today trusted me to defend me against the allegations. Laidun Laidi and Stella Dimakorku soft sell media will be in the history of journalism for their saving grace to me while in prison. Nigeria Tell, Daily News Analysis, Globalville News, Global Reporters, World Stage group, Spy Ghana and Transparency NG are forever engraved in my heart for standing up tall in the face of tyranny and blowing the horns that forced my release.

The Sun, Business Day, Advocate, Leadership, Daily Trust and Newsline Newspapers have every reason to side with the government, but for me they stood like the rock of Gibraltar, publishing press releases demanding for my release. My heart is full of appreciation towards such show of love. To my lawyer from Rotimi Jacobs and Co (SAN), Barr. Gabriel Esegini, your great work towards my freedom will be told under the moonlight. To my personal lawyer from Eculaw Group, Barr. Emeka Ephraim Ugwuonye, I owe you a lifetime of appreciation for being the moral and legal compass to the public who saw through your eyes and passed favorable judgment on me.

I lack words to express my gratitude to the Committee to protect Journalists (CPJ), New York, Reporters Without Borders, France, Media Rights Agenda, Nigeria, Safe Action International, USA, Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) and the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) National Secretariat. With their consistence demand for my release, the international community got involved and more than ever before, the government had to bow. I have no penny to pay but a sincere prayer of grace for more to do greater advocacy. To the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) who stood solidly behind me and sent a lawyer to Minna to secure my release, our bond is forever stronger.

I’m forever indebted to the NUJ Chairman, Minna Council, Iliya Garba and the entire members who rather than stand with the government chose to stand by me. My fraternal brother and co-alumni, Onwusanya Jones (FCC Jones), IG Wala, Bayo Akinnagbe, Frank Ijege, Marxist Kola, Talakwas Parliament, Eneh Wilson and a host of many others, your clamour for my release will surely be in the book that this saga has created. The woman of substance, Dudu Omoze Joy who began the twitter activism to get me freed; I just want to say I love you.

My Facebook/twitter friends and fans remain my greatest treasures, who through their daily call for my release got the government uncomfortable. Had I a better way to show my thanks, I would, but be rest assured that the trust you have built in me will never be betrayed. The Critics Corner family deserves my prostration to thank them and this I have done, for being by me in my ordeals. To the millions of people and media all over the world who joined the operation Free Fejiro Oliver Now, thank you.

Where success calls, enemies who pose as friends abound. To Malik Shabbazz (not real name), Gimba Kikanda and Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, thank you for being in the opposition and doing all your best to soil my name. Thank you for cooking up the lies you told all in a bid to whittle down the fame bestowed on a perceived rival. Your antagonism is the reason why I came out of this stronger and the reason why millions of Nigerians and foreigners swore never to stop the campaign for my release, and while you failed, they succeeded.

Thanks you Nigerian; thank you the international community for throwing me to limelight. Thank you for conferring on me a journalist celebrity and the poster boy for press freedom. Thank you for believing in me while held captive for fourteen days of horror. Thank you for the love you showed. I am eternally humbled.

Fejiro challenges CPS to Gov. Aliyu to publish text messages

  • Tega Sampson alias Fejiro Oliver appreciates NUJ, CPJ,

  • Application for bail comes up next Tuesday

Detained investigative journalist and activist Tega Sampson Oghenedoro popularly known by his pseudonym (pen name) Fejiro Oliver, in a direct conversation with his close friend and human rights activist, Mr. Inibehe Effiong, on Friday 26th September, 2014 has conveyed his appreciation to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Niger State Council and the Committee for the Protection of Journalists (CPJ) for their solidarity and support.

Both the NUJ and CPJ have not only visited him in the Niger State Medium Prison where he is being held but have been very helpful in the efforts to secure his release from custody. He is encouraged that despite the failed attempts by some disgruntled elements to malign his reputation based on the totally false, malicious and baseless allegations of blackmail against him, both they NUJ and the CPJ have chosen to stand on the side of truth.

He views their stance and support as a clear message to those who think that they have the power to cover and divert attention from their dirty dealings and suppress him from exposing the corrupt practices which he had unraveled in the course of his investigations into the activities of the Niger State Government. He prays that the Almighty God will reward them immensely for living up to their mandate and for rising in defence of truth, justice and the integrity of the media.

Also, Fejiro has thrown a challenge to the Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Governor Mr. Israel A. Ebije to make public the text messages both of them exchanged between the 22nd to 29th August, 2014 and the details of their GSM voice conversations, especially that of 22nd August, 2014 at about 9pm.

The substance of the text messages and voice conversations between the duo is that the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Israel, had insisted on knowing the source of the indicting documents in his possession and had made overtures to Fejiro for a ‘settlement’ which he rejected and because of his unyielding stance, the CPS had threatened to deal with Fejiro in a “military manner”. The same CPS had equally sent an electronic mail to him with threats.

Fejiro stated that he only accepted the pleas of the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Alhaji Saidu Idris Ndako, for an interview so as to obviate the possibility of being accused of bias when he releases the details of his investigations and that it had nothing to do with greed or pecuniary gains and that he has leant his lessons.

He has once again challenged the DSS and the Niger State Government to make public any iota of evidence that he ever discussed or demanded N50m or any sum for that matter.

Meanwhile, his application for bail has been filed in court by his lawyer and will come up for hearing on Tuesday 30th September, 2014.

Fejiro Oliver has expressed his gratitude to the media, the human rights community and members of the public for standing by him in his trying times and assures them that he will be vindicated.

"Fejiro Oliver On A Mission To Extort Money From Us" - Niger State Government Insists

By Ehi Ekhator, Naija Center News

The Niger State Government has insisted that the arrested NTA journalist, Tega Samuel Ogenedoro alias Fejiro Olive who was operating under secret reporters, was on a mission to blackmail and extort money with his indicting document.

Governor Aliyu, Niger State Governor Aliyu, Niger State

Oliver disappearance caused confusion last Friday after he accepted invitation from the Niger State Government to discuss a scandalous document which he intended to make public.

The document that Oliver has, according to his close friend Inibehe Effiong, is about 20 pages  of chronicle of corruption worth N40 billion spanning years.

Meanwhile Fejiro was arraigned before a Magistrate where three count charges, including “intimidation” and “extortion” were read against him. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in Niger State Medium Prison until the 14 October, 2014.

Oliver denied the allegation of extortion on phone to his friend and laughed at the fabricated allegation against him by the DSS and the Niger State Government to tarnish his image. He also challenged the DSS to make public the evidence that he ever demanded or attempted to extort any sum of money from any official of the Niger State Government.

He also explained how journalists who came for the media briefing ended up in a heated argument with the DSS after they saw no basis for his arrest. He added that he was pushed into a waiting vehicle by one of the DSS officers to avoid further communication with the media.

The journalist revealed that the allegation was levied against him after he refused threats and directives to discontinue his reports on his investigations into the corrupt activities of the state government.

Reacting to his statement, the Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Government, Israel A. Ebije who spoke with NAIJA CENTER NEWS both of phone and through electronic email insisted that Oliver intention was to blackmail the state government.

He also said that he earlier sent a caveat to the secret reporters’ team to desist from going further with the publication without detailed knowledge of the allegation.

Below is a copy made available to NAIJA CENTER NEWS.

Read and be warned!

 Hello Secreatsreporters,

About your planned report on Niger state, i want to intimate you that you are breaching journalistic profession and the law.

let the attached confessional statement from your source  (ilyasu Dhako) on the alleged information of government approvals serve as a caveat on the story you are about to publish. If you go ahead to run the story based on the mischievous imagination of the said person, then you will have yourself to be blamed.

We are aware you and your platoon of blackmailers are on an errand of blackmail to extract money from officials of Niger state government. It is therefore heartwarming to intimate you that government has been able to extract useful lead to who is dishing you fallacies from a bucket list of expired lies.

I hope you will back off the fools errand you are about to send yourself. Let it be on record that you have been vehemently advised to engage yoursel in useful professional duties instead of employing yourself in absolute errand of fallacious and self serving interest. i therefore wish you luck as you read, digest the content of this letter. your next action will indeed express the quality and capacity of your brain worth.

He revealed to NAIJA CENTER NEWS that the arrested journalist requested for an accommodation from the same government he was accusing of fraudulent activities, and the government was responsible for his flight ticket to Abuja where the meeting was to take place.

The CPS also made available to NAIJA CENTER NEWS, the text conversation between Oliver and the SSG, Ndako.  Below is the excerpt:

Ndako:  We are working out the possibility of beating the 9.30 am deadline to get the ticket out,   your  coming will be  late evening and weekend, please tell me what to do next because I want an end to this issue and possible retrieval of all the documents. Regards

Fejiro: Sir, as long as Israel is out of the issue, we can manage everything successfully. I have gotten the receipt of the ticket and will be in Abuja tomorrow.

Ndako: Just trying to get prepared for we shall be looking at because of weekend.

Fejiro: SSG Sir, we can discuss everything when I come in tomorrow but you can count on mr that it will be fruitful

Ndako: So how do we meet, where and when?  Need airport pickup?

Fejiro: Good Morning Sir, when the plane is set to fly, I will inform you. My staff in Abuja will be at the airport to pick me. Hotel accommodation for the 3 days is what is left and that can be done when I’m in Abuja.

Ndako: Okay no problem. Call me when you are in town

Fejiro: My  flight is leaving now Sir.

Mr. Ebije said he spoke with Oliver several times on phone, and also brought to his attention that the man, ilyasu Dhako who he said gave the him the documents out of anger, confessed and pleaded for forgiveness but refused to listen.

Though he promised to send NAIJA CENTER NEWS a copy of the confessional statement but couldn’t provide when demanded for it.

Referring to the text conversation above where Oliver said as long as Israel is out of the issue, we can manage everything successfully, the CP said “He had good reasons for that. Top on his list for hating me is the fact that I made him to understand that Niger state will not part with money on account of his claims. He felt the SSG was more gullible( a mistake I know he is now regretting) and my presence will scuttle his mission.

“He knew very well that I had identified him as a rogue journalist. He therefore felt am a stumbling block between him and his cash cow (Niger state Government).  He thought he could crawl in and out of Minna smiling all the way to the bank.

“Unfortunately some online media organizations feel he is been oppressed. Until stakeholders clamp on such characters, the trend is going to take a very dangerous twist. It will be a very sorry situation if just about anybody without adequate professional media training goes online to post things.

“About the documents he claim are with him, they are approvals mostly done in council. Many of them do not have cash backing. Those with cash backings have been executed. When Tega and I spoke I made him to understand that Ilyasu Dhako only distributed those documents to collect money. We have him on tape negotiating with a rogue journalist we set him up with. That recorded tape is before the court.

“The Niger state government is transparent, people based and has nothing to hide. It is however in an effort to avoid mischief inclined journalist to mitigate poisonous publication skewed to eclipse the good work of the Chief Servant that reacted on time – which government would watch and be ridiculed?

“Nigerians are more inclined to skewed information, mostly one-sided, hence the need to ensure that we warn against people using classified documents. Tega who does not know the techniques of the practice felt he can go on the cyberspace to release just anything without minding the source or authenticity of the alleged claims therein.

“How can an NTA cameraman claim he spent three months investigating Niger state on the errand of another news platform? He negates the position of NTA, he contravenes the law by working for another media organization at variance with the position of NTA and earning income from two organizations, which is against the civil service rule and a pointer to the kind of person he is.”

Asked if there was any point in time, Oliver in any of the text messages, discussed about N50 million to skew the publication, the CPS said ‘’I am not in the position to answer that, I was not the only one he was talking to, he also talked with the SSG’’

He said Oliver violated the rule of journalism by having at his disposal, a confidential document.  When asked if the information on the document was genuine, he replied with some posers. Read the posers below. ‘

Below are questions I expected a professional journalist to answer on an investigation;

  1. Is the source of the documents credible, am I not committing a felony being in possession of classified government documents?

  2. Are the council approvals on projects and programs to be executed feasible and achievable?

  3. Have funds actually been released for the execution of the proposed projects?

  4. Have they really been executed?

  5. If yes, do they meet the specifications and standards upon which they were approved?

  6. Are they commensurate to funds approved for it?

  7. Are the projects expected to serve the best interest of the general public?

Effort made to contact the SSG proved abortive as he intentional told NAIJA CENTER NEWS correspondent that it was a wrong number and also denied reading the text message sent to him.

NAIJA CENTER NEWS discovered discrepancy from the statement by the director of the SSS, Larry Obiagwu. Mr. Obiagwu had on Tuesday said that Oliver was arrested by his men at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja while on his way to Minna to collect the said amount.

Findings revealed that Oliver had no intention of going to Minna as the meeting was scheduled to hold at a public place in Abuja probably out of fear of being whisked away to an unknown destination by unknown gunmen.

Nigerians, friends and families have been reacting over the arrest of the journalist as many questioned the SSS on the way the reporter was arrested without prove of extortion both on phone, emails or direct communication.

President Jonathan; Quit Now! There Are So Much Blood Stains On Your Hands

I think my resignation was the only way to avoid bloodshed, as I couldn’t stand the idea of bloodshed, casualties.

Eduard Shevardnadze

Fejiro Oliver

If men were God; we need no soothsayer to know that President Goodluck Jonathan would have been a forgotten history, but our not being God has saddled us with the pain of having to cope with a man in love with women and corruption. Sometimes one wonders if Mr President is truly acaulescent as his many actions claim to betray that he is not from the soil of the Niger Delta; a people known for their bravery and outstanding leadership qualities. When we express our deuce about him, his supporters’ rain down the heaven and practice adhominem.

President Jonathan President Jonathan

We truly wish to see him succeed and we all want to help him, but for each step we take to make him be a better leader, he reminds us that we were not there when he wrote his thesis and got his PhD in zoology and thus we should confine ourselves to our shackles. We are in for it; an unfortunate people led by her most clueless, ‘atakara’ and kindergarten President since independence. Truly with Mr Jonathan, there is no denying the truth that Nigeria is an animal kingdom. Whoever supervised his PhD thesis has a share in our current woes and pains, as his doctoral degree was one of the campaign tools he used in wooing the academicians who believed that one of their own being a President will see that there is no industrial action in the higher institutions again, but like the proverbial Shakespeare ambitious man who climb to the highest degree, he has looked down on the base and scorned the very people who helped him climb it. The President style of leadership will forever call to question the academic lifestyle of students from his Alma Mata, the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), as most of them will now be subjected to rigorous interview questions, as it will be generally believed that most of them will have dull brains like the President.

Were I his supervisor in the University; he would have spent more years in doing his Masters Degree programme and would never have allowed him to have a PhD, when it is crystal clear that his brains cannot comprehend the realities of life. Or is the University degree not given to a student after being certified and found worthy in learning and character? Forgive me, but he was not found worthy in any of them. One wonders what he always think when he answers questions before the press or gives a speech. He probably think he is talking to a group of school children or some slaves he captured from his village and thus will take whatever he tells them. Who can imagine a President saying that corruption has grade and levels in Nigeria and still has the guts to defend his mistress, Alison Madueke? To him Jesus Christ did not sack Judas Iscariot when he was stealing from the treasury and as such Alison will remain untouchable. Little wonder the ICPC boss was bold enough to open his canal to tell us that stealing is not corruption, a word he learnt from his master.

Where did we get it wrong that a country once known for a peaceful existence has suddenly become a land where bloodshed of human beings is synonymous with the killing of animals during festive period? There is no denying the fact that Nigeria has experienced its worst form of brutal killing since independence and international attention and condemnation in the era of President Goodluck Jonathan. Not even the wicked and dictatorial days of Late General Sani Abacha has Nigeria gotten the world attention like this civilian era. Most worrisome of it is that it is happening in the regime of a South South man as a President. Mr Jonathan does not know what legacy he is laying down for future South South persons who will vie for the Presidential position in many years to come. A time will come when accusing fingers will be pointed at President Jonathan for spoiling the chances of his kinsmen (I may be included).

Agreed that Boko Haram is not the creation of President Jonathan, but there is no denying the fact that the current blood being shed all over the Northern part of Nigeria is the result of the cowardice on the part of the President to decisively deal with the terrorist group when it first reared its ugly head in a deadly manner. How can a President be so weak that in a country he claims to preside over; he shares the power with some group of infidels who call themselves Boko Haram, and he has the guts to confess on broadcast media that should he venture into the den of Boko Haram, they will just kill him? What manner of leader is he that cannot hide his weakness? Do we need any confirmation on why he chickened out from visiting Chibok? While I do not support completely his going to Chibok for security reasons; couldn’t he had gone there with all the security apparatus and if possible survey the place from the top of a military helicopter? We definitely would still have criticized him for using helicopters, but it would have been better than not going at all. He has succeeded in passing the message that he cannot guarantee his own safety despite all the security at his disposal; how then can he assure Nigerians that the Soldiers who are not well fed will be able to protect the common man?

Someone should drum it into Mr President’s ears that his ambition and cowardice has claimed over 25,000 lives of Nigerians, even though he claimed that only 12,000 lives have been lost to the deadly sect. His worthless ambition which he claimed is not worth anyone’s life has swallowed many Nigerians and taken them to their untimely death and yet someone still have the guts to sit tight in Aso Rock Villa speaking English that will not solve the problem. In a true democracy, the outrage caused by the numerous killing and the climax, which is the kidnap of 234 Chibok Maidens is enough for him to come before the National television and world press and tendered his unreserved apologies before immediately submitted his resignation letter. But not this man from Otuoke who will prefer to die in power than see his Presidential ambition thwarted. For every time he is asked if he is contesting, he keeps dodging the question and fueling speculations that come 2015, and a million bloodshed cannot stop him.

Is it the bloodshed that his regime caused in the infamous Nyanya bomb blast that was yet to dry when he ferried himself in a jet for a political rally in Kano State or the birthday merry he went to have with the Olu-Ibadan that will not speak against him on the day of judgment? What about the bloodshed that was caused by his dubious Minister of Interior, Abba the Moron where scores of lives were lost in the Nigerian Immigration Service exams? Let our conscience prick us as we watch in dismay 241 dead bodies killed by bomb blast from Jos, yet the Nigerian police have the temerity that only 46 people died, while NEMA lies that 181 died. What a wretched agency of government! Are these not enough for him to throw in the towel and admit that he is not fit to be the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, when actually he cannot command even a wretched police barrack? Instead of his sycophants to drum in his ears that there are blood stains in his hands, they go to TV houses with advert comparing him with the legendary Nelson Mandela. What a grand delusion of self importance and performance!

If Late President Yaradua, a Northerner can stop the militancy in Niger Delta, what stops a Southerner from stopping the terrorism in the Northern part of the country? Mr Jonathan bears a life time burden and appreciation tag on his neck to Yaradua who helped him to solve the militants’ brouhaha in his home state. It is his albatross and he cannot pretend not to know. Were it not so, he would have been fighting a hydra headed cabal of Boko Haram and Militants, and we sure know that both would have crippled his regime. Someone should tell the President the truth that as far as his leadership is concerned; he has not only failed the present crops of Nigerians but the unborn generations. Alongside his wife, the Dame of Rivers State, they have turned Nigeria into a theatre of Nollywood absurdity, where their House Boy, Nyesom Wike is playing a leading role.

From the health sector, bloods are crying for vengeance, as the President has kept Onyebuchi Chukwu, his crony as the Health Minister despite the outcry by health workers that he should be sacked, for favoring one sector of the professions. Why are we even complaining when he derives joy in the blood of innocent patients? A man who could not act when his immediate constituency, the academic, is on strike will not even bother if all the health workers go on industrial action. But when the evil he has sown begin to haunt him and his generations and the blood begin to torment him; let him have no one to blame.

The blood on President Jonathan’s hand will forever haunt him, unless he summons the courage to deal incisively with the terrorists, while fishing out those he said were helping Boko Haram in his cabinet. He looked so gentle like a cowboy who cannot hurt a fly, but more than any leader Nigeria has ever produced, rushes of blood has flown down the country under his nose. His actions in treating Boko Haram with kids gloves is an invitation to coup by the already disgruntled Soldiers who have been cheated by the top military shots, despite laying down their lives for our beloved country. Nigerians must decide come 2015 if they still want this zoologist to keep governing them like animals and woe behold any of them who vote for him, but come back on the cyber space to condemn him and his policies. The days when he can cajole us with sweet words are over, as we have heard enough and can no longer hear more.

The Igbos who are supporting him and ready to sell their party, APGA should hide their heads in shame. Here is a man who promised to give a second Niger bridge to the region immediately he is voted into power, but refused to do so until one year to election, and they still believe that when they give him their votes, he can turn water into wine. Be not deceived, this man cannot even turn groundnut into kulikuli as he does not have the slightest idea on how governance is. An unprepared man is always bound to fail and it is what we are experiencing in Goodluck Jonathan. All his life, there are no antecedents of his performance and you cannot give what you don’t have. Call him a crippled President and you are not wrong, call him an impotent leader and you are not far from the truth. He has been in acting positions all his life and this is just one of such governance where you act the script. Unfortunately enough, the director of the movie, OBJ has abandoned the location and he has lost directions on where to go.

While he derives joy in comparing himself to world leaders, he fails to take lessons from them. A true leader who weekly experience one week, various bloodsheds would have acted like South Korea President, Park Geun-hyey, who gave a mind-blowing speech during the Sewol Ferry disaster, which killed close to 300 people thus: “As a President, I feel a sense of sorrow for not being able to protect them during their family trip. As the President who should be responsible for people’s live and security, in am sincerely apologizing to the people for having to suffer pain. I again pray for those who passed away during the incident and express my deep condolence to the families. I believe these people are the real heroes of our generation”. But for my President; when disaster like bomb blast and abduction happens and he hears it, he says, “My face change and my body do me one kind”. Shame!

As 2015 approaches and Boko Haram makes lives ungovernable, Mr President must begin to prepare his handover notes to give to the next President who will succeed him. There will be no excuse to be given for failure to get an alternative candidate even if it is from the same Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but to allow Mr Jonathan to continue in power for extra four years is to sign a death with the keeper of the grave that we will always donate blood weekly to him. Are we ready to swell the graves with the death of Nigerians by allowing this ‘shoeless’ Bayelsa man to continue with his disgraceful acerbic style of leadership? Can President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe ‘Mandela’ Jonathan be courageous enough like Sam Houston of Texas and say “In the name of Nigeria, which has been trampled upon. I refuse to take this oath. I love Nigeria too well to bring civil strife and bloodshed upon her”?

The beer parlour insult that President Jonathan and Other Nigerian leaders deserve

By Fejiro Oliver

Everyone’s so timid and afraid to insult anybody, but in the end, it’s like we’re all trying to please everyone. In the end, we please no one.    Olivia Munn

If you can’t ignore an insult, top it; if you can’t top it, laugh it off; and if you can’t laugh it off, it’s probably deserved.  Russell Lynes

That President Goodluck Jonathan will be the most criticized and insulted Nigeria leader after the late dictator, General Sani Abacha is not in doubt, but what will be under contention is who will retain the crown among the two of them when he finish his two term of Presidency in 2019. The opposition especially the All Progressive Congress (APC) hates to hear this, but the truth is that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is more poised to win the 2015 elections in the presidential race, because of some factors which will be discussed next time.

Jonathan and Sambo Jonathan and Sambo

I hate titles with every strength in me, hence no one who will be stylishly insulted in today’s epistle of my column should expect to read any title attached to their names. What title do they have in the first place apart from the ones they bought from the corrupt Nigerian Universities who sells their doctorate degrees to the highest bidder. Little wonder, the Anambra small boy called Ifeanyi Ubah will append the worthy academic title ‘doctor’ to his corrupt name.

The smooth operator from Otuoke must be a very good womanizer, judging from the way he was able to dazzle Nigerians with his campaign jiggles and promises, coming on Facebook to interact with all and crowning it all with the evergreen slogan, “I had no shoes; if I can make it, you too can make it”. Hush, wait! I have a secret to reveal to you. If he was a good womanizer like we all say, how come of all the damsels in Nigeria in his era when we truly had beauty queens with good characters, the best he could pick as a wife is a ‘shepopotamus’ (apologies to Wole Soyinka), who controls him like a splitting unit air condition? This is the secret, one mind tells me that he never wooed Mama Peace that looks like a cassava starch basin in the village, but the reverse must have been the case.

Women sure have intuitions that can tell them the destiny of a man tomorrow and even when they have no shoes, they will use their personal money to see he has shoes. How do I know this? Poor me then years ago, but not like the fisherman President o; my then fiancée will tell me, “Baby, I’m not following you now because you are a poet but because I see a popular Journalist in you who will become sought after”. I did laugh it off but alas it’s humbly true already. This must be same with ‘Shepopotamus’ unfirst lady and fisherman Head of State.

How can a man be so wicked and heartless, so much after raping our collective virginity, he plays the pipe while over 80 young girls are missing. Yes, His Royal Majesty, Emperor Jonathan Goodluck Ebele Mandela, the ozagidimagbudu of the Universe is playing the fiddle while Rome burns. Barely 24 hours after Nyanya was bombed by Boko Haram and the kindergarten leader went there to make his usual boring message; he went gallivanting to Kano State to kick off the Northern campaign all in the name of Unity rally. Parents and relatives mourned their loved ones and Jonathan was busy massaging a woman super Ikebe with his rod at the campaign rally.

While the blood of Nyanya blast victims were yet to dry, the dumb President jetted off to Ibadan for a party to celebrate 100 years with the Olu-Ibadan, shining his 32 to the world media, while ironically, the British Ambassador to Nigeria was right there in Abuja to donate blood to the surviving victims, who are not his own people. Nigerians must not take this act of his non donation for granted as he has to be subjected to medical test to check his fitness to govern this country. There certainly must be a reason he has remained adamant by not donating blood despite the cry from Nigerians and others in Diaspora. We certainly do not want another Yaradua case or do we? When history is recorded, Mr Jonathan will surely be a project topic for research studies as a case in failed leadership.

There is certainly no better name to call the Chief looter of the National Assembly, Mr David Mark (the animal must have been expecting to hear distinguished Senator) than an over fed bedbug. This father of many unknown children as far as Bahamas has being a constant problem of Nigeria from the military days till this very moment. How his Senatorial district from Benue State manages to tolerate his foolishness remains a mystery to all Nigerians. He must be the one-eyed man in the eyes of the blind; after all they are mainly farmers, planting big yams and crops to feed the nation (no insult meant for the distinguished Benue citizens please). For Christ sake, what is this overfed bedbug doing in the Senate for thirteen solid terms, without any meaningful contribution to Nigeria development, apart from satisfying his insatiable quest for wealth.

David Mark houses in Europe and the Caribbean which was revealed by his ex wife is enough for Nigerians to drag him publicly from that desecrated hollows called the chambers in the National Assembly and stone him to death or whip him with plantain leaves and stumps to make him confess and disclose his bank account numbers, for it to be shared among all poor Benue people whose constituency funds he used to enrich his wretched life.

If Nigerians were a group of serious people, we truly don’t need to do a recall letter before asking him to leave the Senate; rather we would have tormented him and his families psychologically that he will be forced to resign. And it’s never too late to make life so hellish for him. We have in our hands the internet to expose all his atrocities, as far as going into his family and private life details, including his children. This he knows is possible; hence he and his partners in crime are doing all they can to pass a bill to send New Media Journalists and bloggers to jail.

What an irony for the fisherman President to organize a feast for old men who have looted the treasury and put them under the title of ‘elder statesmen’ for the National CONFAB. There are no statesmen in Nigeria and it is time we disabuse our minds and start referring to the corrupt ones among them as thieves. And I will call Dieprieye Alamesigha (who cares if I spent his name wrongly) a first class thief of the first order and for the clueless President to name him among those bandwagons of ‘elder statesmen’ shows how much he personally has looted Nigeria treasury to coma. Let the heavens fall on this statement, but it will be written all over the cloud that Mr Goodluck Jonathan is one of Nigeria biggest thief and a time will come when a Pharaoh that knows no Joseph will emerge and Jonathan alongside the Alams of this world will be thrown into a prison and left to die. Let no Nigeria media ascribe to any of them the title of statesman any longer, for we have none worthy of that title now, apart from the first set of nationalist.

This name must not escape us in this column; Aliko Dangote. His ascension to the Forbes list of richest men is not any dint of hardwork, but a work made possible by the looting rulers of Nigeria. Just anyone who has what Dangote has from the Federal government can become Africa richest man and every word written here is true like the sands in the beach. Who will not be successful if he is given the monopoly to import some certain products into the Country? This tall man whose eyes shines like a thief in the night is one of the many problems of Nigeria, providing funds for sitting Presidents and governors to pay rigging machineries that will perpetuate them in power to enable them keep giving him all juicy contracts. And yet foolish Nigerians keep heaping praises on this foolish Dangote for using their common wealth to play political games, and using State governors to buy their lands from them at cheap prices.

It is this same Dangote whose drivers are the most reckless in Nigeria, killing Nigerians at will, ramming into peoples houses and business establishments; runs way with the trucks and sometimes abandoning the vehicles in the accident area and no Nigeria police will raise an eyebrow, rather he gets the highest award for killing fellow Nigerians. In Qatar cement is N420, in Thailand it’s N520, in Israel it’s N430 Naira, but in Nigeria it’s N2,400, no thanks to this national conspirator for looters association of Nigeria. Who will stop Aliko Dangote monopoly of the Nigeria economy?

In our country lives another political rabble rouser, a man who missed been a dwarf and feels that the only way to show his political relevance is to be a constant opposition member. Welcome to the world of Nasir El-Rufai, a man who is not truly recognized in his party, APC, but spends all his time on Facebook and twitter, posting what fellow Nigerians who are not comfortable with the leadership of the country has written, yet was not recognized like Japheth Omojuwa and Co among the men who have used social media to change their world, despite his huge following.

This Fulani man who had the opportunity to change Nigeria through the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as a Minister could not do so, yet he had the guts to come on the cyber space to heap insults on a government when he did nothing during his time. Should we say shame on him for making himself look more like a twitter and Facebook activist than a self proclaimed opposition politician that he calls himself? Can someone tell the short Surveyor that those on his Facebook page are not fans but Nigerians who want to laugh at the foolishness he displays? He certainly must be thinking that he has lots of fans on his page. Fans our foot! Let Nigerians not be deceived, that page is a sponsored page which was advertised by Facebook management itself. I dare him to open a Facebook page which will not be sponsored and let’s see how many people will like his page. Nigerians should ask him how he got the money to build the mansions he has in Abuja and other areas within the country. Such men like him are part of the problem in the country and Nigerians must beware of him and his political ambition.

This notorious female looter will pass as Nigeria all biggest looters of all in the female category. When the looters hall of fame is mentioned; this beauty queen will be there. Dazzling as ever with sex appeal that must have kept her in the position for this long; Diezani Alison Madueke is one woman who should be behind bars were Nigeria a sane country where thieves are crucified. This lady with frog eyes have done more harm than good to Nigeria, lying her way to power with some alleging that she has slept with the powers that be. Who she sleeps with is no one problem and who cares if she opens her skirts to dogs in Italy? But we care how our money in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources is being spent.

Under her watch, this pen robber diverted $20 billion to an unknown account and instead of tendering her resignation letter honorably; she has the temerity to tell Nigerians that she will be vindicated. What arrant nonsense is this academic fraudster saying? Instead of accounting for all the missing monies, she shakes her ass before the President to confuse him and makes him lose his senses? If Stella Oduah can be sacked; a high class looter like Diezani has no business being a Minister.

The men in the beer parlor are still insulting other Nigerian leaders, which we will soon unveil. For now, keep pouring the insult on them and tell them it’s what the men in the beer parlour said.
