North-West PDP stakeholders ask Jonathan to sack Mu’azu

Some stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party in the North-West zone in Kaduna on Wednesday asked President Goodluck Jonathan to sack the party’s acting National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, for incompetence.

They said the continued crisis between PDP Senators and the Presidency was as a result of the inability of Mu’azu to resolve the matter amicably.

Besides, they added that the political instability in the zone and the North-East would consume the party ahead of the 2015 elections if not properly handled by competent leader like the ex-National Chairman of the party, Dr. Bamanga Tukur.

Leader of the stakeholders, Alhaji Ibrahim Suleiman-Zango, said sacking the national chairman at this point in time, was the best thing that would happen to the party ahead of the 2015 general elections.

“Chiefs of the party, which met on Monday in Kaduna, also believed that the massive defection of members of the PDP in the National Assembly to the opposition All Progressives Congress was as result of the incompetent leadership of Adamu Mu’azu to reconcile aggrieved members of PDP,” he said.

He continued that the planned defection of more PDP legislators in the National Assembly from the North to the APC was aggravated by the inability of the acting National Chairman to initiate dialogue and resolve the crisis before it affected the chances of the party in the 2015 general elections.
