Members of the Talakawa’s Parliament have expressed their displeasure over the current disgraceful and embarrassing saga concerning the Edo State lawmakers particularly, what happened on the 16th of October, 2014.
The group urged Edo people to vote the lawmakers, who it referred to as “dishonorable members” out in 2015 as they have brought disgrace to the house and Edo people.
Speaking through its president, Mandela Marxist Kola, Talakawa’s parliament urged the National Assembly to invoke a session in the Nigerian constitution against the lawmakers, which gives the National assembly’s power to take over the state house.
Marxist Kola said “The electorate should reject the 24 dishonourable members in 2015 because they have decided to sequestrate them to the dusbin of history and that the only weapon the masses have is their votes.
“The National Assembly should invoke section 11 (4) of the 1999 constitution as amended by taking over the legislative business of Edo State.The political actors from both parties should stop arming the youth for political thuggery and hoodlumism.
“Political actors should endeavour to jettison the politics of bitterness and acrimony, Iron and blood politics that have dominated the topographical kpim of Edo State politics.
“That the legislators quarters should be sealed off by authority in charge as it is assumed that we don’t have legislators in the State.
Members of the two political parties in Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) had been fighting, maiming and destroying properties for the past few days.
Honorable Rasak was attacked on Tuesday night by alleged thugs who were said to have been engineered by the members of All Progressives Congress.
In what seems like a retaliation attack, the legislative quarter of the lawmakers were invaded by a ground of armed men who destroyed both cars and other properties worth millions, belonging to the APC lawmakers.
Some APC legislators were on Wednesday invited to Abuja by the EFCC to explain how the injured lawmaker, Honorable Rasak’s signature was used by Honorable Shaibu to impeach one of the lawmakers.
Meanwhile, the Edo State Police command had earlier invited and detained Shaibu, Uyi Igbe in connection to the attack.
Sources disclosed to Naija Center News that almost all the members of the state house are members of a dreaded and dangerous cult group, Neo Black Movement of Africa popularly known as Black Axe.
