Abia State governor, Theodore Orji has tasked aspirants in the 2015 elections in the state to work hard to win the ticket of their various constituencies as the party will not give anybody an automatic ticket.
He said Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) believes in internal democracy and that only those who are hard working and loyal to the party will get the party’s nomimation.
Speaking in an interactive session with PDP ward, local government and state executives at Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia, he emphasised that it will “no longer be return, return as people will be elected according to their worth and performance.”
Governor Orji said that the party has no rival in the state, and advised members not to be deceived by those who would want to induce them with money, when in actual fact, they have nothing to offer.
He added that the PDP remains the best party for the state and urged members to let their conscience guide them on how they vote.
Orji promised to continue to deliver democracy dividends to the people including making every Abian a car owner either for commercial purpose or pleasure. (0)
