Ebola: Lagos airport refuses to screen VIP from affected countries

By Ehi Ekhator, Naija Center News.

Despite the fear the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease is generating in Nigeria, the health workers at the Murtala Mohammed Airport are still considering VIPs.

Information gathered by NAIJA CENTER NEWS from a close source at the airport revealed that the authorities at the airport are not screening VIPS even though they come from the affected countries.

It could be recalled that a VIP, Late Patrick Sawyer, Senior Diplomat from Liberia, brought the virus to Nigeria on July 20.

The source disclosed to NCN that a relation to a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu raised an alarm at the airport  after being allowed free entry because she was a VIP.

A call placed to the airport proved abortive as the World Health Organisation staff, Dr. Maurizo who this medium called referred us to another officials who promised to call back.

Ebola Virus had killed five people in Nigeria including  Patrick Sawyer and a member of ECOWAS who attended to him during his arrival.
