Cameroon government has banned burqas (women face veil) in the northern part of the country after two women blow themselves and 12 others last week.
The local governor who disclosed this said the twin attack in Cameroon’s northern town of Totokol killed at least 12 people.
It could be recalled that Chad in the past weeks banned burqas to check the activities of Boko Haram who hide under the veil to deceive the general public before blowing themselves up.
Midjigawa Bakari, the governor said “I took this measure because of the security situation prevailing in the region.
