Boko Haram takes over Chibok, many fear dead

As the world is still fighting to join hands together to return the more than 200 students of Chibok Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, abducted in April, 2014, Boko Haram members have returned , but this time, takes over the community

According to residents, Boko Harams invaded the community on Thursday night and took full control. They were said to have also killed some residents before matching to the village center to announce their seizure.


Boko Haram has regained more strength after Cameroon government was reported to have paid N400m to the sect and so supply them weapon in change of some hostages, including the wife of the vice President of Ghana.


Nigerians also believed that the purported ceasefire headed by President Derby was a distraction by the sect to enable them replan. The new strategy has led to the seizure of several towns in Borno and Adamawa driving out soldiers, other security operating and confiscating their arms.


Adamawa State government announced on Thursday that a group of hunters joined power with the Nigerian military to reclaim Mubi, a town that fell into the hands of the insurgents two weeks ago.
