The Training Unit of the Edo State Information Communication and Technology Agency (ICTA) has taken to the street to protest what they called “poor working condition”
Some of the staff who spoke with NAIJA CENTER NEWS complained that they came out to express their displeasure over the way they are being treated by the state government.
They referred to themselves as “Staff Oshiomhole is using to recover millions of naira”
They listed their demands among others as:
Better pay like every other ICT staff in Nigeria
Implement the law that established the agency
A total change including paying the necessary allowances and promotion for staff.
The staff complained that after five years of its establishment, nothing has been done and no staff has been promoted. They disclosed that other ICT staff earn N120,000 and above in other states, but the state government pay them N50,000
