NAIJA CENTER NEWS gathered that the ranked member simply identified as Alegbe was killed along with his two body guards while demanding payment from some shops opposite Uwelu Market.

Our correspondent gathered that the deceased overthrew the former Chairman of Uwelu Motor Parts, who is a member of the EIYE fraternity last two weeks.

Some of the residents who spoke with NAIJA CENTER NEWS said they are currently hiding as policemen are everywhere arresting innocent youths as many cultists had fled the area.

“We heard gunshot around 7 pm upward and everyone ran. I later heard that Alegbe and his two boys were shot. The shooters made sure he was dead before they left.

“Alegbe overthrew the former Chairman of uwelu spare parts two weeks ago, and became the Chairman last week.

“He was shot while he was trying to collect money from some shops near Uwelu Market

“The former chairman is an EIYE man. After Alegbe was shot, we still heard a lot of gunshots last night.

“Our problem now is the policemen who are arresting innocent people on the street, so we stay inside.”

At the time of filing this report, policemen have barricaded Uwelu Market as Alegbe boys are threatening to burn it down.
